I contacted Sandtastik Inc. and they confirmed it is free of asbestiform tremolite as questioned by another reviewer. This is the safest sand available. Sandtastik White Play Sand has the ACMI - AP non toxic seal and has ASTM D4236 certification - meaning it has gone through rigorous testing to make sure it is completely safe. This sand is NATURAL sand, unlike most quartz mined man-made play sands. Molds well when wet. PERFECT, SAFE solution for children's sand tables. Not to mention it looks beautiful! The only drawback is the price - not to practical to fill an entire 200lb sand box with it and I won't allow my kids to put water in the sand/water table since they'll turn it into mud and it will have to be replaced often. I don't want to have to replace it often at this price! I do highly recommend it though - My children's safety is worth the extra cost.

This is the second batch in 6 years I have bought. My kids love playing with this sand and can play for hours. It is very very fun and safe and very easy to clean up!

Great clean safe sand. No silica. Works great for decorations and art projects or as play sand. Very soft feeling. Not coarse like regular sand. Molds great when damp. Pricey compared to normal sand, but worth it in my opinion.

The play sand was everything that I expected. Great quality and with a sparkly, clean look. However, the shipping that I was charged for this product was outrageous. The product arrived to me via usps in 4 flat rate boxes which I know cost approxiamately half of what I was charged. It seems that amazon made an enormous profit off of the shipping. Beware!

Too expensive when paying for shipping; it is comparable to the price of the product! Buy local.

I am in search of the pure white safesand for my twin's sandbox. I found a web site www.safesand.com and they have it but for 50lbs it costs $60 (includes shipping cost). I thought that was too much $$ so I was checking out Amazon and these prices are even more insane! I guess I am back to paying $60 for 50lbs.

love it that the sand is so safe. It looks very white and sparkly. Only problem is its so fine that once it gets in to the hair its very difficult to wash it off and my toddler hates getting her hair washed. So now we put her in the sandbox with a cap on her head.

I ordered this sand for my son's sandbox after extensive research regarding playsand and toxins. Yes, the sand is pricey, however with amazon prime you do get 2-day free shipping. The sand is absolutely beautiful! It's fine, soft, white sand and guilt free; paying extra for peace-of-mind is priceless. I will be purchasing more of this sand in the future as needed to keep the sandbox full.

This sand was exactly what we were looking for. It is dust free and a beauitful sparkly, white color. We ordered two 25 lb boxes for our small sand table and wish we had ordered at least 25 lbs. more. It's a little spendy with shipping but totally worth it. We will probably be ordering more in the future.

Researched safe sand options for quite a while before I purchased this sand. It arrived very quickly. It is the most wonderful clean white sand, with a few black grains here and there. My daughter (age 2) was thrilled and loves it in her sand box. I had purchased "washed" sand previously and it was dusty and dirty and I didn't have it long before looking for this lovely white sand alternative. It's so worth the cost. I ordered four boxes. The seller (the Craft Shop) was amazing to work with. Highly recommend the sand and the seller!
