5.0 out of 5 stars better than dry erase!
Just because it says "wet-erase" in the name, doesn't mean you actually have to use a damp cloth to erase it. I often use a dry tissue - requires a bit more elbow grease but not really a problem. And if the cloth is damp, zip!

3.0 out of 5 stars writes well, hard to off on black boards
I bought it for the coffee shop i work at. It writes great on our shiney counter sign, but it is hell to take it off our menu black board. still worth it. i bought it a long time ago and we still have all the colors, and they are barley just starting to get worn at the tips, even after using them on rough surfaces like unfurnished wood

I hate dry erase markers. I now use these bright sticks everywhere I used to use dry-erase, and more. I keep one in the car and write reminders on the inside of the windshield when I'm at a stop light. I keep one in the bathroom and jot down notes on the mirror if I have a brainstorm in the shower. I write a reminder on my computer screen if I really realy don't want to forget something. I've put clear plastic on some of my office cabinets and file drawers (to protect the paint, not sure it's really necessary), and write on the plastic with these regarding the comings and goings of the contents (x was loaned out to y on date z, etc.)

Dry-erase is so over-rated - leave something for a few days and struggle with the eraser. Leave it for weeks and you need to find the solvent. Leave it for a year and the solvent won't help. You can only use a whiteboard. So limiting and inconvenient! So smelly! Wet erase is so much better! Use it on any non-porous surface, clean it up with kleenex and maybe a bit of spit. I am so hooked! Could you tell?

4.0 out of 5 stars Don't leave your writing on the board too long!, January 27, 2011

I bought these for the chalkboard in our entryway, and understood that they're water-erasable. I may have to buy some of the special chalkboard cleaner though, because if writing is left on the board for more than a few days, it tends to leave a sort of "shadow" behind when it's washed off. Not the biggest deal in the world, but kind of an annoyance.

Also, I've been really happy with the green, yellow and pink - all bright, vibrant colors. The blue writes very dark, unfortunately, like using navy on a blackboard, so we don't even try to use that anymore. The white shows up, but is more gray than white. I'll probably just end up buying more colors eventually, but wish these were a little cheaper.

We have bought these markers from a restaurant supply store for years. Problem is they are expensive and the store has short hours and it is difficult to get there. I was so happy to see them on Amazon, one click ordering and they were delivered for less cost than I was paying before. A rare product for wet erase black menu boards that we have. They work great, come packaged so that they stay fresh until you open them. We only open a few colors at a time to extend the time between purchases because they naturally dry out over time.

These markers are perfect to pair with a black dry erase board ().

Of course you can't use them on something porous like many people have tried in other reviews (duh - they're erasable markers). Use them on a hard slick surface like a dry erase board or glass and you'll be fine.

Easy to wipe off (often doesn't even really need to be wet) and the colors stay bright and vibrant, they don't dull.

Colors are -so- much brighter & more saturated than dry erase. Wet erase is more than twice the work: wetting down a rag, wiping the board with it, following up with a dry rag, (possibly two rags, depending on how wet you made the board), but the difference more than offsets this "hardship".

Write on my windows great, turning my two large panes into an impromptu white board and canvas which is awesome! I wish the tips where maybe a bit thicker and starting each pen takes a good minute or two which is a pain but they work great forever after. Definitely a fun writing utensil.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bright but Dries Out Fast, October 13, 2010
This review is from: Sanford Wet Bright Sticks Wet-Erase Fluorescent Markers, Assorted Fluorescent Colors, 5-Pack (14075) (Office Product)
I work in a nursing home. We use these markers on our boards every morning. I have worked with this brand for four years, and I have to switch. They are fabulous for about two weeks. Then one color will dry out. That's fine because with these all you have to do is shake them and depress the tip a couple of times and the ink is ready to go again. Two days later that marker and another one will dry out again. It becomes a great hassle trying to get these markers to work regularly. Plus, after about a month of use, when you depress the tip the ink comes back...with a fury. They have exploded all over my boards before, and I'm left without a marker because that one won't work anymore. All in all, they are an okay product. If you're going to use them rather infrequently then these are great. However, if you want to use them everyday for writing or drawing then you need to consider a different brand.

My wife is a GM in a restaurant and she has used these pens in the past. They are easy to use and erase with no problem. Also Amazon is the cheapest place I could find them.

These Bright Sticks are exactly what we needed for our lighted mirror signs at our American Legion Post. In fact I couldn't find anything else this perfect. I was a bit shocked at the price, but guess that's how it goes.
