I bought 2 sets of this dinnerware to replace a Pfaltzgraff set I had. The design and colors immediately caught my eye. I wasnt sure of the brand because I had never heard of it, however I am not impressed by name brands - I have never once turned over someones plate to see the brand - WHO CARES!! I use the mugs everyday and the bowl is a great size, not like the usual bowl that you can barely fit anything into. It is very durable, they come out of the dishwasher looking the same (except clean!!!) They are not as heavy as pfaltzgraff and they are not rough on the bottom - they do not scratch the table or snag the tablecloth. Also, each piece has its own characteristics. If you are not one to impress with all "big name" pieces, then you will love the Sango dinnerware that is showy WITHOUT reading the bottom.

I have had these dishes for approximately 6 months and wanted to add to my set. My family all love them. The ceral bowls are a wonderful size for a hungry apetite, the dinner plate is a little larger and they wash up very nicely.

I bought two of the dinnerware sets for my wife. We like them so much we ended up buying all the accessories (lasana dish, mixing bowls, onion bowls, ect.).

Very durable and stylish. like the last person said,,,the bottom ring is smooth so there is no snagging on the placemats.

We purchased several sets of Sango Gold Dust dinnerware and are extremely happy with the product. The dishes are attractive, sturdy, and work well in the microwave. The glazes are beautiful. The table looks great when set, and everyone who has seen them loves them.

I started buying this set of dinnerware last winter. I have 12 place settings. I really love the look and the quality. The bowls are a nice size and are big enough to be used on the table for serving pieces. The plates and mugs are also generously sized. I am not sure why these are called green because the color is actually more blue than green and the tan is a very soft shade unlike alot of the pictures I see on the net.

The finish is uneven on purpose. Don't buy these if you expect an even glossy shine because they dont have one. Yet they still clean up great. I have only had a bit of trouble with tea stains if left to sit in the mugs. If you use a dishwasher those will come right out.

I also bought the square plates and they make an attractive addition to the table. I picked up some black square plates of another brand and they really set off the entire collection when paired with either some wood toned or black placemats.

I was really thrilled to see that amazon offered the companion pieces. I will be ordering all of them and also another service for 4 since they throw in the lasagna baker for free. You cant beat a deal like that.

I'm sure that you will love this set as much as my family and I do!
Each piece is durable and good looking! My original set was also by Sango, and I gave it away after 20 years only because my decor had changed dramactically. Now my neighbor is enjoying my original service for 12. I expect to enjoy my new Gold Dust set for at least, the next 20 years!

We painted our kitchen and I was looking for some kitchen decor to go with the colors. I found the Gold Dust - Sienna set on sale at Kohls for a great price and decided to purchase a few pieces for my cabinet tops and shelves. Then I went online and found great deals on the matching sets through Amazon and a few other places.

Because I was able to get such great deals, I decided to buy enough to replace my 11-year old Pfaltzgraff dinnerware set while I was at it. I have received a ton of compliments on the set - and I love it because I use the accent decor pieces from the tops of my cabinets when I have dinner parties or a group of people over, so they're practical too!

Positives:
*Pretty sturdy - we've broken a bowl from dropping them on the floor (they're not Corelle Ware, after all), but they seem to hold up better than my Pfaltzgraff against a 6- and 9-year old emptying the dishwasher and jamming them in the cupboard
*Attractive, contemporary design
*Good price
*Large variety of accent pieces to the dinnerware set

Negatives
*The dishes seem to scratch pretty easily from daily use. It's not like they become unsightly or unusable, they simply show wear and just don't have the shine they did when I bought them 6 months ago.
*The dinner plates, bowls and saucers are large and take up a lot of cupboard space
*The pieces are fairly heavy - my 6-year-old has a hard time lifting more than 2 bowls or plates at a time when he is helping to clear out the dishwasher.
*The sound made when cutting food with a steak knife on these dishes is like fingernails on a chalkboard. It sends shivers down my spine every time!

Again, overall, this is a good set for the money. I have twice as much dinnerware at almost half the cost of our Pfaltzgraff (purchased 11 years ago!). It will, however, be much easier to pack these away and replace them when we repaint our kitchen again some day than it was my Pfaltzgraff for just that very reason.

I have 2 of these (8 place settings) and am very pleased with this product. I have purchased other complimenting pieces as well and have had no problem with any of them. They are a good heavier weight, the finishes are interesting (unlike most dinnerware at this price) and the colors are neutral enough to mix with more colorful stoneware type serving dishes. Also, washes well in the dishwasher! All in all, a nice product for the price.

I like these dishes for everyday use. The colors coordinate really nice with my decor. Work wonderful in the dishwasher and have a good weight to them.

I'm thrilled with the dinnerware set. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. I have used it in both and it is holding up well. I love the design and will be looking for added pieces for the set.
