Sango Concepts, available in a choice of colors, sets a casual, everyday table with durable stoneware. Like many Sango patterns, Concepts is finished with a high-gloss, reactive glaze that gives each piece a distinctive, handmade look. The coupe-style plates, quite flat, are designed with a minimal rim, while the soup/cereal bowl rests on a slight pedestal foot.

Included in this set are four place settings, each comprised of an 11-inch dinner plate, 8-inch salad plate, 7-1/2-inch bowl, and mug. The muted green avocado color starts out darker near the brown rim and fades to creamy white on the inside of the bowl and mug, and on the topsides of the plates. Safe for heating food and beverages in the microwave and then cleaning easily in the dishwasher, the dinnerware may be augmented with additional Concepts pieces, such as square salad plates, a hostess set, and canisters. --Ann Bieri

I recently purchased this dinnerware and am very pleased with it and it's price. The plates are large and have a nice lip on the edge. Mugs are very comfortable to hold and thin walled enough to avoid leaks when you sip. The colors are subtle and sophisticated and the plates have a nice glaze on them. Even my husband likes the service. Best of all, the plates don't become hot when you heat food in the microwave which was my biggest dislike of our previous dishes.

I have been a chef for about ten years now and I have seen, used and broken many dishes in my time. The quality of these dishes are incredible. Heavy, sturdy, perfect size, and the color does not fade at all. I have had this set for almost a year and love everything about them. the best part is that the stoneware keeps the heat very well and does not disapate easily. I have actually used the dishes in the oven to keep food warm and they work beautifully. If you are wondering, the plates are about 20oz, and 14oz, cups are 10oz, and bowls are about 16oz. Very sturdy and well made, would reccommend buying two or three sets.

I love this set for my everyday use. I have owned it for about 3 years. I also enjoy using it for company because it is so attractive. I get many compliments. However, I have problems with chipping and cracking, and there are no children in my household! I have had two plates crack, 3 bowls chip and I even had 3 mugs have their bottoms completely fall off as I filled the mug with hot water for tea (very dangerous!). I am going to contact the manufacturer to receive replacements.
