I recently purchased this dinnerware and am very pleased with it and it's price. The plates are large and have a nice lip on the edge. Mugs are very comfortable to hold and thin walled enough to avoid leaks when you sip. The colors are subtle and sophisticated and the plates have a nice glaze on them. Even my husband likes the service. Best of all, the plates don't become hot when you heat food in the microwave which was my biggest dislike of our previous dishes.

I have been a chef for about ten years now and I have seen, used and broken many dishes in my time. The quality of these dishes are incredible. Heavy, sturdy, perfect size, and the color does not fade at all. I have had this set for almost a year and love everything about them. the best part is that the stoneware keeps the heat very well and does not disapate easily. I have actually used the dishes in the oven to keep food warm and they work beautifully. If you are wondering, the plates are about 20oz, and 14oz, cups are 10oz, and bowls are about 16oz. Very sturdy and well made, would reccommend buying two or three sets.

I love this set for my everyday use. I have owned it for about 3 years. I also enjoy using it for company because it is so attractive. I get many compliments. However, I have problems with chipping and cracking, and there are no children in my household! I have had two plates crack, 3 bowls chip and I even had 3 mugs have their bottoms completely fall off as I filled the mug with hot water for tea (very dangerous!). I am going to contact the manufacturer to receive replacements.

I wanted a setting for 12 people, so I ordered 3 boxes of this dinnerware. When they arrived at my home, each were sent in their own separate packaging, but they were so haphazardly packed that I had broken pieces in 2 of the 3 boxes. I asked for replacement pieces, as I needed 1 cup, 1 bowl and 3 plates to replace the broken items. The only way they could do this was to sent a whole new 16-piece set. They asked if I would return the broken pieces along with the unbroken pieces from that set. I refused, saying it was ridiculous to send the unbroken pieces back, considering the possibility that the next set might have breakage as well.And it's a good thing I did, because the next set arrived with 2 of the 4 dinnerplates broken, which still left me one shy of my 12 person set. I spent literally an hour on the phone with representatives trying to resolve this issue, as they didn't want to send me another entire set. They finally relented, and I have my completed set, but not without much hassle and heartache. The dishes themselves are everything I wanted, and are stylish and well made. It's their shipping method which needs revamping, and I doubt that they've done anything to resolve this issue, even though they promised to look into it. So order at your own risk. You've been warned.

Beware! I bought two sets and a finishing set from a store. We had problems with several cracked plates and saucers discovered after we used the service for a few weeks. Since it's just my wife and I, we had no explanation for the damage. I ordered another set from Amazon to make up for the "Bad" pieces. Same problem, plates and saucers from that set continued to crack. The cracks don't cause the plates to break, but a crack just appears and leaves a small fissure that renders the plate unusable. We believe the heat from the dishwasher and microwave are causing the pieces to crack. In the microwave the pieces get extraordinarily hot. Much hotter than other dishes or cups. My wife is a potter and says it's probably the type of stoneware clay they used and the cracking is possibly from inconsistent firing of the clay. Of course, it's just an educated guess. You can't hold the handle of a cup if you reheat a cup of coffee. The dinnerware gets hotter than the stuff you're heating. They look great, but have some definite problems. It's not Amazon's problem, but I wouldn't buy from this manufacturer again.

I recently ordered two sets of these dishes, so I would have a serving for eight. Of the two boxes I got, One was fine and the other had a broken plate. I returned the box for a replacement, which I just got. It has two broken plates, so once again, I will have to pack up the entire box and ship it back, only this time, I'm waiting until I get my new set, and can hopefull piece together a full set. The dishes themselves are wonderful. The plates/bowls are a great size and the set really is beatiful.

i was hoping to get a set of 8 of these, the first 2 boxes came and had broken plates in both of them; i kept 1 good set, and shipped back the broken set; the replacement set came, and more broken plates ... so i think i'm just going to settle for a set of 4 rather than trouble with having to go back and forth with these until i can put together a full set of 8. it's really a shame.

My husband and I picked out these dishes for our wedding gifts. We love the color and sturdiness of the dishes. The lips on the plates are fantastic! There is one concern the I have. Our bowls now have scratch marks on the inside from our spoons. This could be from the kind of silverware that we have, so I cannot say 100% that it is the bowls. I like all my "stuff" to be resiliant, so I was just a little disappointed when I noticed the marks. But overall a great dish set and the colors look so much better in person!

I ordered two sets of these dishes. Everything arrived in great shape (I was a bit worried about dishes breaking during shipping, because some prior reviewers had had this problem, but everything was fine). I really love the color: it's not "girly" or too masculine--just a nice, deep shade that looks much better in person than on the website. These dishes are actually very large; the dinner plates are huge! No worries about fitting all of your food on one plate here. The bowls are also larger than I am used to, but I actually like the size. I like the heavy feel to these dishes; the weight really makes them look and feel durable and high quality.

This is a great looking set of tableware! I love the shape of the large plates! The bowls are just the right size and the coffee cups are shaped so you can get a good grip on that morning cup of coffee! The soft green color with brown accents is so pleasing to the eye and can be dressed up or down. It does great in the microwave too! I am trying to find additional serving pieces which I heard were going to be out anytime, but cannot find any photos.
