This Sango canister set is the typical four piece grouping. (Whatever do you use that tiny one for, though?)

The largest one, usually used for flour, has ample capacity and is considerably larger than canisters I've had in the past. Still, it is not big enough to take a whole 5 pound bag of flour. Similarly, the next size (sugar) holds enough for most kitchen use although you'll still have to find a place to stuff the rest of the sugar bag until you need it. I guess that's what Rubbermaid is for.

The top are fitted with silicon gaskets which do a great job of keeping out moisture. Because of this, the tops are sometimes difficult to fit into the bases completely, but even if the top doesn't fit all the way in, the seal is good.

Recommended. Look for this set in the other Sango Nova lines of Brown and Green to match your decor.

the canisters are great looking and I would have loved them in my kitchen accept after receiving two sets of them broken they would not ship me anymore so needless to say I still don't have a set they told me to order another color well that wouldn't work in my kitchen and after all there still ceramic what makes them think I wouldn't have this problem again. Not knocking the product just the way of shipping it

The packaging of this set was totally inadequate and all pieces of the canister set were damaged. Most were totally shattered. \

I too received my shipment very quickly, however the largest canister was broken and am now having to ship the whole set back.

I had been looking at these canisters for a few months since we purchased the Sango Nova Black dinnerware. However, I hesitated to order them because of the reviews I had read that they arrive shattered. About a week ago, I accidentally broke the sugar canister to our existing set. So I decided to take a chance. The box came looking pretty bad and smashed all over and I wasn't very optimistic. When I opened it, I discovered that they were in perfect condition and are a such a nice compliment to our kitchen and dinnerware. The flour canister is actually larger than our old one!! We are very pleased.

I bought these because they matched my dishes. I really wish I'd kept my old ones, even though they were black. The size of these is nice for flour, sugar, etc.; however, the rubber seals in them aren't great. The seal on my flour (biggest one) falls in every single time I take the lid off. They're pretty, but not very functional.

These are packaged so badly from the factory I can't see how you could ever ship these and receive them in unbroken condition. I asked them to ship one canister seperate and the 2nd mailing they were almost all broken. They are a beautiful product but I will have to wait until they are purchased by a local store.

My mother chose these for her kitchen. The product arrived well packed, with no defects whatsoever (contrary to much older negative reviews from 2004-2006). FYI: The largest canister holds about 4 pounds of flour (not a standard 5 pound bag).

Saw these canisters and fell in love with them. Couldn't wait to get them and when I did they were broken into a million pieces. They replaced them very timely but one lid is almost too small and the seal doesn't fit properly. Another lid fits so tight it takes two hands to get the lid off. I was disppointed in the quality. I wouldn't buy these again even if I had to buy something more expensive.

These canisters arrived, and like other people who received them, were broken in a million pieces. Due to the number of people who have received these broken, we opted for a refund rather then trying to get another canister set. This was supposed to be a gift, good thing they checked it before opening it on Christmas! Don't order this unless they can figure out how to pack it better!
