Two shoes in one! The convertible back-strap can be worn across the instep (pictured), or around the back of the ankle for a different look and feel. The wooden sole is perceived as the truly original clog concept - that preserves the clog's integrity and uniqueness. Wood combined with the traditional stapled construction is also very popular because of the simplicity of design. At Sanita they prefer using solid lime tree's for the sole, mainly because lime is very easy to shape into an anatomically contoured footbed for the best possible fit and comfort - and it doesn't split. The slightly recessed heel cup matches the heel's profile and the raised wood arch supports the instep. It is anatomicallly contoured for the natural support and a perfect fit. The rounded toe follows the natural line of the foot. Because wood does not flex, the upwardly-inclined front section is very important because it supports the foot as it rolls forward = thereby providing a nice easy forefoot take-off. When combined with a well-fitting upper this sole construction gives the wearer a clog that easily follows the foot. Hard-wearing rubber sole for better positive grip and comfort.
