Sanrio Hello Kitty Umbrella - Kid Size Umbrella

I love how this umbrella is a good size and how easy it is for my 5 year old to open and close! She got it for her Hello Kitty birthday and loves it.

I got this as a surprise for my 2-yr old daughter. She loves it and always asks for her Hello Kitty umbrella when it's raining.

My rating 3.75 stars. It is an umbrella after all. It would have to be a Tiffany's umbrella or maybe embossed in diamonds for me to rate it 4 or 5. Alas! Not at that price.

I received the umbrella pictured here, the pink one with Kitty holding her own red and white pattern umbrella. My 3 year old daughter loves it. She's been nagging daddy and mommy to allow her to play with "The Big" umbrella ever since she became aware of umbrellas. I got her this one because:

1. I wanted my little girl to stop crying when mommy said she couldn't play with the big umbrella- she already broke one sitting, standing, opening and wrongfully closing it etc...-.

2. It's pretty and she likes Hello Kitty.

3. It's the right size for her and will probably be her umbrella till she's about 8 or 9. Unless she cries for something different when she's older, or it breaks before then.

4. The 360 Hello Kitty handle is ideal for her little hands and provides good grip and manipulation of the umbrella.

5. The design makes it easy for her to open and close the umbrella without help.

6. It's not an overpriced, cheaply made, Sponge Bob or Disney character umbrella which I've seen too many of, and it's prettier.

7. She loves pink! Who knew, right?

I've observed since it arrived that:

1. The product seems durable enough even for her, though I have to stop her sometimes from flipping the umbrella upside down onto the floor to stand "in" it.

2. The price was reasonable with shipping.

3. My daughter plays with it and has used it happily on rainy days. I do try to help her understand that although one can have fun with umbrellas in the rain and indoors -playing pretend its raining with her dolls, for example- they weren't exactly designed for use as row boats, chaises or trampolines. :o)

One thing I would have preferred, although the product arrived in good shape, is better packaging for it. The shipper simply took two large brown manilla envelopes -the kind with the bubble wrap interior- stuck one end of the umbrella in one envelope, the other end in the second envelope and taped both envelopes sealed. The packaging does not affect my rating for the product. I just think some buyers might like to know how their product will ship. I thought it was a bit risky and that I was lucky to receive it undamaged.

The item is exactly as shown. The Hello Kitty character on the handle was darling and

a huge hit with my granddaughter. It appeared to be well made and should hold up for kids.

Good price for a Hello Kitty item.

Bought this umbrella for my 3 year-old girl. She loves it. She could wait for it to rain. It is adorable and the hanle is precious. Great umbrella for a little girl!

My daughter has been asking for an unbrella for a few weeks now, so we decided to get her one online with one of her favorite characters; Hello Kitty. The umbrella is super cute, is easy to open and close and allows her to do so without hurtning herself. Yes is a little small, so if is raining strong or with wind will not do much; however, which umbrella really works in those conditions!? Anyways, I will definately recommend it, she loves it!

Somehow my umbrella arrived bent. Have no idea how it happened b/c the box arrived in good condition. Only thing I can think of is that they stored these at the warehouse w/a bunch of heavy stuff piled on top of the umbrella. It arrived with the stem bent which made it slightly harder to open & close. This is not a toy by the way. It's an actual umbrella. I bought it for my 2 year old but she couldn't hold it up for a long time. Not sure if she's just weak or what so we're gonna stick w/raincoats for now. Sent this back and got a refund w/no problems.

This is a child size umbrella. Has along point but it is rounded so cant hurt others if it pokes them. Easy enough for my 4 yr old to open and close.

Got this for my 8 yr old for Christmas and she loves it. Holding up better than the average kids umbrella.

My daughter wanted an umbrella for herself do she could feel "grown up". This one matches a pair of rain boots she already owned. She loves it. Reasonable quality at a reasonable price.
