Sansui 19" DTV1900,
This review is from: Sansui 19-Inch DTV1900 Digital Television, Silver (Electronics)
I have a 13" Sansui in my kitchen. Bought this 19" Digital Sansui for my bedroom & love it! Picture/Sound/Quality is all great. Highly recommend, if you have room for a tube style TV.

My 19" tv that I had in my bedroom quit and I didn't want to spend $300 for a flat screen so I decided to try this Sansui because it was more in my price range and fit the wall mount that I already had. I have it mounted across the room towards my ceiling and I haven't had any problem seeing the picture or hearing it. I have found that the sound and picture are both pretty good. I have only owned it for a month so I can't say how reliable this tv will be. My old Admiral lasted 10 years without any problems and I would be happy if this one makes it for 5. At the moment I would recommend this tv to anyone who is looking for something to put in their bedroom and don't want to spend a lot of money.

An Attractive Durable Portable Color TV,
By
This review is from: Sansui 19-Inch DTV1900 Digital Television, Silver (Electronics)
This silver Sansui CRT portable set is great to have around children, who can easily damage a more expensive HDTV flat screen. It is easy to set-up, has a decent standard definition picture and mono sound (which kids have no problem with), and it's built-in tuner picks up basic cable stations, and can also get digital over-the-air reception (when taken on a trip) connected to an antenna. Up front are video/audio input jacks for game and DVD player hookup. My only minor complaint is that the speaker is under the set, so you have to place the television on a hard surface, or the sound will be muffled.

ORION / Sansui will not stand behind their product,
By Chick Daniels (Virginia Beach, VA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sansui 19-Inch DTV1900 Digital Television, Silver (Electronics)
Less than two years ago, I bought an Orion/Sansui TV. Less than a year later, it blew up. Was under warrantee, so they had to pay for it's repair. The digital board was shot among other things. Now less than a year after that, it blew up again. Called Orion assuming that the replacement parts from less than a year ago would also be under the same 1 year warrantee, but was shocked to discover they only put a 90 day warrantee on their replacement parts. So I told the lady very nicely that she could at least pay the $35 to have my set looked at by the repair shop and she wouldn't do it. So I told her they were gonna lose one way or the other. I obviously bought a lemon, and they wouldn't stand behind their product, nor their parts. I told her she could help me out, or with my remaining 30 or 40 years on this planet I would tell everyone I know to NOT BUY ANY ELECTRONICS FROM ORION. I assured her that I would be certain to persuade enough people to not buy their product that they would be worse off than standing behind their product now. She chose this route:
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ORION. IT IS JUNK, and they will NOT stand behind their product. |
