For the back story, my in-laws had two old CRT sets that had gone on them in a matter of months apart. I replaced the living room t.v. with a nice 32" Vizio set which has Netflix built in and they were more than happy. They wanted to go with a fairly low price on a den television that isn't used as frequently, but have the option to watch Netflix and Blu-Rays. I pointed them towards this t.v. for around $380 shipped brand new.

Thus far they seem to be OK with it, but I feel coming from a technology background that it really has more quirks than I would like. I guess it's what to be expected from a C class television company, let alone it being a combo set. (People usually say with combo sets, there are more things that can break due to more moving parts.)

Getting the T.V. up and running and connecting it to the net with an Ethernet cable/Router was simple as always, however it proceeded to try and put the same update in, over and over again. Even after the update and current firmware numbers were matching one another! After shooting an e-mail to Sansui they had explained it will always say there is an update, even if you do have the most current firmware. I even tried disconnecting it from the network, and doing it via the downloaded firmware from Sansuiproducts.com with a USB flash drive, it wouldn't even see either of my USB drives. It just told me the update failed and to disconnect it. Why it does that, I'm not sure. Why they can't stop the constant firmware reminder even when it isn't needed is beyond me.

I also noticed that the Blu-Rays and Netflix load pretty darn slow, for most people it won't be an issue. But if you are used to the speediness of Netflix loading on a Blu-Ray player, T.V., Xbox 360 or the like.

I had never had a blu-ray player before purchasing this TV. The picture quality is fantastic. Even regular DVDs have an exeptional picture quality. My son has his X-Box 360 gaming system hooked up to it, and it's working fine. I like how the combo unit is a space saver and that I have one remote control instead of two. This Sansui unit comes highly recommended.

I never heard of the brand Sansui before I purchased. However, after installation the TV works perfectly. The features and the built-in Blu-ray DVD player were the best price available on the market. This is the first refurbished item I have ever purchased. It was refurbished by the manufacturer and I am very pleased at this point.

In looking for an option for our apartment, this was one of the only tv's with a built-in blu-ray and netflix with Pandora. We have had a very good experience with it and netflix works well. At times is takes long to load episodes on netflix, but it's okay. Pandora works great. We are very happy with our purchase.

We used a wired connection though our electrical outlets.

We bought an ORION 42 inch LCD model 42RTH set. It seemed to be an excellent choice since it had all the best inputs ie., HDMI, DVI, PIP< PBP, etc. The set was connected to satellite dish a PC and an outside camera. The set was only used twice for about an hour at a time afterwhich the entire screen turned funnky green. Attempts were made to adjust the set, but to no avail. No service, no warranty accepted by ORION.
BEWARE -- this product is JUNK. Look for another manufacturer !!
