About the Author

Author Ann Bahar has published over 250 articles in antique, crafts, doll, teddy bear, and miniatures magazines. She was Miniature Department Editor at Antiques & Collecting Hobbies for six years, is a Contributing Editor at Miniature Collector, and contributed regularly to Doll Reader. Ann has published four private-press miniature books and authored tow antique-reproduction French paper doll books published by Hobby House Press, Inc. She is a member of the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA) and the Miniature Book Society (MBS).

Ann loves the joyous warmth, pageantry, legends, and real-life history that make Christmas such a special time. Antique and contemporary-crafted Father Christmas dolls echo the joy of the season and are, she believes, a unique art form. Nice depiction of Santa to see the change over time and the primitive to more contemporary version. I havent had time to read the book, but I am looking forward to get into the particulars of how the dolls were made and the inner workings of the Dolls.
