5.0 out of 5 stars intuitive
Last semptember I had my cards read by a psychic, who used this deck. I was very impressed with the imagery so when I discovered the deck online, I decided to pick it up. I would really reccomend getting the book that accompanies the deck, it does alot to explain the background of Navajo sand paintings and the meanings of the imagery. 3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, but I'm not sure how well this relates to tarot
I bought this because I collect tarot cards...I haven't finished looking at it but it looks interesting. From what I've seen so far, though, the Navajo legends don't map that well to tarot cards. Often the cards have a description that doesn't seem to have much to do with the devinatory meaning...If you buy this, buy it because you're interested in the Navajo legends...

I would really reccomend getting the book that accompanies the deck, it does alot to explain the background of Navajo sand paintings and the meanings of the imagery. Though it would be difficult for a beginner to read with, it is very intuitive and excellent when you are reading about spiritual issues.

I bought this mainly for the art on the cards and for the myth and symbology descriptions in the book. I am interested in Tarot cards though I rarely use them for readings. What I didn't know from the Amazon descriptions was that the book I ordered separetly is the same book that comes with the cards in one package so now I have two books and one set of cards. You don't need to order the book if you are ordering the cards because you get it anyway.
