Excellent! I am about three quarters of the way through this book and I love it.. Detailed history of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe railway from it's inception to modern times. Great pictures, lots of detail about small lines swallowed up by the Santa Fe and their ultimate fate.
I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in rail history and the Santa Fe in particular.

Toy electric trains were made for a number of years and have become traditional Christmas gifts for a great many young children. By far, the most popular color and paint scheme for the streamlined diesel engines of these tot elrectric train sets was the red, gray and yellow colors of the streamlined diesels of the Santa Fe Railroad. The cover of MBI's Railroad Color History of the Santa Fe Railroad written by Steve Glischinski pictures one of these red, gray and yellow streamlined diesel engines painted in the very familiar War Bonnet design that made the Santa Fe railroad home of the most popular diesel engine paint design and color to be immulated by manufacturers of toy electric trains. This book provided vivid description of the history of the Atcheson, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and includes very interesting tangential material on topics like the connections between the santa Fe Railroad and the Walt Disney Company.
