This reissued Golden book will be a hit with three and four year olds! The busy elves, the too-busy-to-play Santa, and his solution (to play at the last house on the route) will make grownups smile even after the billionth reading.

"Santa's Toy Shop" was one of the three "must read" stories my kids wanted on Christmas Eve (the others were "The Night Before Christmas" and Luke 2:1-20).

This book has great colorful drawings and a fun story that the little ones just love.

Now that my kids are too old for stories on Christmas Eve, this book (and others) gets placed out on a coffee table and they still sometime stop to look at it.

A fun Christmas book! Highly Recommended!

This is a sturdier version of the Little Golden Book I had back in the 70s! Very cute- the pictures are exactly the way I remember them!

This is a refreshing Christmas tale of Santa
and his beloved elves. Busy in his home at the North pole, the story shows you all the wonders of Christmas toys being made.

Santa was so busy that he never got to play with any of the toys, that is when Mrs. Clause had an idea. "Why not stop at the very last house on your list and play a while." she told Santa. What a wonderful idea! Santa thought and smiled.

A delightful children's story with colorful illustrations and a hope that maybe you
will be the last house that Santa stops at next year! You never know!

When our, now 22 year old, granddaughter was just beginning to talk some of very first words were "Read to me!" It only seemed appropriate that since this was one of her favorite books and her grandfather read it to her numerous times as "Poppy's" Toy Shop that we make a special effort to give her a copy at Christmas. I'm sure she will enjoy it immensely and will treasure it as much as she does ALL of the books in her vast library.

I just bought this and it brought back so many memories. Can't wait to read to my son at Christmas!

Santa is up to all the work that makes Christmas merry for all of us. But, how to really enjoy it, himself?

Mrs. Santa comes up with a great idea. Why not stop off at the last house on his route and play for a while!

Children will delight in this little book and beg to hear it again and again. Cute illustrations!
