This beautiful book feature's Santa's favorite kitty, Snow Cat, who has snowy white fur and jade green eyes. She is a little trickster and likes to stow away with Santa by snuggling down in his deep pockets. However, on Christmas Eve when she is discovered by Santa, she accidentally falls out of the sleigh and lands somewhere in New York City. Unhurt, Snow Cat takes a tour of the city, encountering lots of look-alike Santas but not the real one until she is eventually located by Santa and taken safely home. The story is told with lyrical descriptions and has colorful, evocative illustrations rich in detail that include major New York City landmarks such as Radio City Music Hall, the Empire State Building, and the twin towers of the recently destroyed World Trade Center, among others.
This is a really wonderful little book and if careful explanations are shared with children who may be confused to see a picture of Santa's sleigh perched atop one of the WTC towers, I think it makes not only a lovely Christmas story to be treasured but also a wonderful keep-sake.

This book is a must for Christmas, and anyone who loves New York. Snow Cat falls out of Santa's sleigh one Christmas and is dropped into New York. Unhurt she visits different landmarks such as the Twin Towers, Rockefeller Center, and more. Snow Cat meets up with many "look-alike" Santa's, but never hers. Eventually Santa finds Snow Cat and brings her back to the North Pole.

This book is beautifully illustrated, and a must for any cat lovers or anyone looking for a new Christmas story.

I purchased this book for my daughter after falling in love with Anne Mortimer's illustrations in Pussycat's Christmas. As expected the illustrations are beautiful and crisp and will be especially appreciated by cat lovers. This is a lovely and quiet holiday bedtime story.

A charming tale of how Santa's cat navigates the bustling holiday streets of NYC after she falls out of the sleigh. The illustrations are beautiful, and A. Mortimer connects readers to many traditional NYC scenes with such a whimsical, magical touch. My 4 year old truely identified with SnowCat's confusion about Santa faces and voices everywhere! Kind story that's also lovely enough to be a treasured holiday keepsake.

Santa's Snow Cat is a great Christmas book to share with family and friends. It has become a new family tradition for me to read Santa's Snow Cat to my kids on Christmas Eve. It's a grand mix of fantasy, traditions and truth. The story is set on Christmas Eve and takes place in New York City. Many of the famous places in NY are pictured in the book like The Twin Towers, Empire State Building, St Patrick's Cathedral, and the giant snowflake that hovers above 5th Avenue during Christmas season.
I think everyone will enjoy this book. It's absolutely my favorite book all time.

I happened upon this book at a bookstore and thought it was cute - so I bought it at Amazon (much cheaper than a bookstore). I love cats and I love Christmas stories so this was great for me. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to read it at Christmas and make it one of my family traditions.

DON'T NEED TO LOVE CATS TO ENJOY THIS NICE LITTLE STORY! WE JUST R IN LOVE WITH ALL ANIMALS... WE LIKE THE PICTURES as well. IT'S NICELY WRITTEN & I LOVE WHEN U CAN TELL THAT SANTAS SMILING WITHOUT EVEN BEING ABLE TO see his mouth! IT'S A KEEPER! (SON'S AGES 9 TO 4YRS.
THE FURREAL WHITE CAT IS JUST LIKE THE CAT IN THIS STORY BUT ALIVE!
THE BOYS GOT THIS BOOK 2007 AND THE LIFELIKE FURREAL CAT THIS CHRISTMAS 2008 AND THEY COULD NOT LOVE HER MORE! THEY TREAT HER AS IF SHE IS MAGICAL & CARE FOR HER LIKE THEY ARE HELPING SANTA..... BOTH ARE A MUST HAVE.... SEE MY REVIEW RE: FURREAL WHITE CAT!!!!
