About the Author

A devoted father, longtime children’s advocate, and chart-topping GRAMMY winner, Ricky Martin has been hailed as “an international pop icon and Latin Music’s Global Ambassador” by Billboard.  Already a superstar throughout the Spanish-speaking world, Martin skyrocketed to worldwide recognition with a spectacular performance of his world cup anthem La Copa de la Vida (‘The Cup of Life’) at the 41st Annual GRAMMY Awards. The New York Times said the famed GRAMMY moment “put a match to the tinder of the pop-music world” and instantly established Martin as “the symbol of Latin culture’s new mainstream status in the United States.” Over the course of his two-decade + solo career, Ricky has now sold more than 60 million albums, and performed to sold-out stadium and arena audiences throughout the world. Martin is also a New York Times bestselling author from the publication of his heartfelt memoir Me (Celebra, November 2011), and a critically acclaimed top-line Broadway star thanks to his recent run in the first Broadway revival of Evita. Following a recent turn as a coach on The VOICE Australia, Martin has just released his 29th Top-20 single “Come With Me” and is currently working on additional new music for his eagerly awaited next album.  Ricky also continues to dedicate himself to the efforts of The Ricky Martin Foundation –which advocates for the well-being of children around the globe in critical areas such as social justice, education and health. In it's simplicity this story carries a powerful message. It is a message not only for young children but also for their parents to encourage them to follow their dreams also. We all have dreams we all have longings of the heart, but the only thing holding us back is our fear. This book encourages children, and anyone not to stay stuck in fear but to go beyond it and invites the reader to really engage in the power of their dreams. Also to realize that our dreams have the potential to be as large as the cosmos. All we have to do is believe in ourselves and apply ourselves to what is required to follow our dreams.

This story is so inspiring. It really teaches a child that if you really try to do something it can happen. As far as I'm concerned Mr. Martin can add children's book author proudly to his other accomplishments. I understand there will be a follow up book showing Santiago growing up .I look foreword to it.

Short book. Good positive story for children. I got this book to donate to a toy drive to encourage a child from a disadvantaged family to believe in themselves despite life's obstacles or setbacks.

This is brilliant. Really good positive reading for young child from 2 years to 5 years of age.
This is sort of an Auto-Biography as this is based on (Kiki) the child who grew to become Mr Ricky Martin.
The Illustrator has really captured Kiki's features and energy that propelled him to Super Stardom.
Well written and very well illustrated, with amazing bright colours. Really captures the attention of little children.

I really think Mr Ricky Martin should create another book for children. He is a natural.

It was meant for a 8 year old so maybe it was a bit short. More suitable for a very young reader. The story , the meaning and the quality were excellent.
