5.0 out of 5 stars This story is filled not only with emotion but marvelous wit ....., November 3, 2007
This review is from: The Santorini Bride (Greek Tycoons / Harlequin Presents, No. 2610) (Mass Market Paperback)
The Santorini Bride by Anne McAllister
Harlequin Presents # 2610 - February 2007
The Greek Tycoons themed series

Ever since the article proclaiming him the World's Sexiest Sailor, Theo Savas was plagued by hordes of marriage-minded women. Winning the villa on Santorini provided the perfect isolated get away he so desperately needed. Having been away from her home in New York for a month, Martha Antonides was eager to let Julian know that she'd finally made the decision to commit to a deeper relationship with him. Arriving at his apartment, and hearing him in the shower, she thought what a perfect way to show him then to join him; only Julian already had company. Her family villa on Santorini would be the perfect place to lick her wounds and learn to face the world again. Much to her surprise the villa is occupied and apparently no longer belongs to her family. Theo demands that she leaves. Martha insists that she'll be staying. And when an old flame of Theo's shows up, Theo demands Martha stay as his new girlfriend. Of course, they'll only sleep in that huge bed, he tells her. He's shocked when Martha says that she'd like him to show her exactly what it means to be the World's Sexiest Sailor. Six months after their week of bliss, they met up again in New York, where Theo discovers that Martha's pregnant. Now this no-strings marriage phobic bachelor must find a way to convince Martha to marry him.

This is my first book written by Ms. McAllister. I'm wondering how I missed such a talented author. Right from the moment they meet, Martha gets under Theo's skin. With Theo, Martha can't help herself, she just jumps right in. These two make a perfect match. Ms. McAllister has a wonderful sense of humour and this story is filled not only with emotion but marvelous wit. It was a real pleasure reading about Theo and Martha's journey to a HEA. :D
