I am extremely brand-loyal when it comes to shoes and was wearing nothing but Asics and Ecco for the last 12 years or so. No the third brand busted in and I'm already thinking how I will be buying new pair of Sanuk's for the summer.
All they say and other reviewers write is true. They feel like flip-flops but at the same time they are warm and comfy. I was wearing them a few days ago when the temperature dropped to lower 30s and it felt great. I used them for hiking, biking, going out and I sometimes wear them when I am at home. Unless it's raining, they are my first choice.
A small word of caution - they don't make half-sizes. So if you're in between as I am there is always a question if one should go half-size up or down. I've seen a review regarding these shoes that as the "fur" gets compressed with time, they tend to be a bit loose. It's not yet a big problem for me, but it starts to feel like it might happen. So half-size-down might be a way to go if you're not sure.
I looked all over for a new pair after moving back to NH but apparently they don't sell them here, yet, so I ordered them off amazon. This pair is even better than the first. I had an absolute footgasim when I put them on and have basically only taken them off to sleep since I got them. I would reccomend these shoes to anyone who wants to reach a new level of footware enlightenment.
Sanuk-please go back to your silk-screened logo inside your products.
Sanuk's are surprisingly tough and wear well. My son has probably owned a dozen or so pairs over the years and has never had the fabric tear or a seam split. The soles are a comfy flexible rubber/foam material so no break in period is required. The seams along the top are not finished and fray nicely to take on a "distressed" look which he loves. They run pretty much true to size and offer enough give for so that, even if you have wide feet, they never feel tight.
These are great "sandals" and everyone should own at least one pair.
The soft lining makes an already comfortable shoe that much more comfortable. It doesn't make the shoe that much hotter.
I feel that Sanuks run true to size. My husband wears a size 10 in most shoes, and he wears a size 10 in Sanuks as well. I have a pair of Sanuks in a men's 7 (I wear women's 8.5), and I fit in a men's 7 in other brands as well.
The Woolly/Fuzzy stuff on the inside is comfortable and does add some warmth, but not a lot of warmth. My feet stayed warm, but weren't sweating. It is not warm like Thinsulate, It's more like wearing a thicker pair of socks.
If you are a person that needs arch support, you may have to add those supports. These soles are comfortable, but completely flat. Walking in them is like walking on yoga mats or very thick carpet padding. Sanuks are very comfy and I tend to wear them all day. When I bought my first pair of Sanuks I didn't think I would wear them that often, but I surprised myself and I have worn them more than any other shoe I own. In fact, I just purchased my 3rd pair of Sanuks and they should be here in a couple days. I can't wait!

For the cost of the shoe I was disappointed. They are not that comfortable, and the inner sole seems to be cheaply made. Read morePublished 10 days ago by JonL
Think flip-flops with shoe tops glued on. And nothing sticking between your toes. Nice concept. Great knocking around casual shoes. Read morePublished 16 days ago by E. J. Campfield
