I have three pairs of the Merrell Encore Breeze shoes, and they're a breeze! They're extremely comfortable and required no break-ins. When I saw this MJ I thought they would be as comfortable so I bought a pair for a little kick of style. Big mistake! This shoe has the same footbed as the Breeze but the sole is much thinner and the toe area is higher so it offers no support whatsoever. It actually hurts! The straps are itchy and the open ends rub against the back of my heels. For the price and the ability of being able to wear only once, this is the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever bought!

However, I applaude the vendor (Shoeflake). They're extremly fast in shipping. I placed the order on Friday 7/10 and received the shoes Monday 7/13. I will buy from this vendor again, just different shoes.

The shoe runs just a little bigger than a regular shoe. I read the reviews and it helped. Me choose the right size. My son wears a 4 1/2 size. The 4 still provides him with room in the toe area. This is his first pair and he loves them. Very comfortable.

I had tried on some of these shoes in a retail store, here in my home town. Price was close to 70.00 tax included. I decided to just order from Amazon. Saved myself some money and was able to pick a color the shoe store did not have. If you love house shoes, these are the shoes for you. of course, having a sole makes them pretty versatile. I wear mine everywhere.

These run a little big. Son wears 5 in Nike, but 4 in Sanuks. Very light and comfortable shoes for children!

My kids love these Sandles/Shoes. They can wear them with pretty much everything with and without socks. They get wet, no biggie, toss them in the washer and air dry. Sanuk is a staple at our house.

Attractive, comfortable, not too pricey--these are great descriptors of the Merrell Encore MJ shoe. I bought my pair (beige and tan) on a trip to Dallas almost a year ago and have worn them through winter, spring, and summer (not every single day).

The solid rubber-like sole cushions the foot from hard floors, provides great support, yet is designed to look attractive. What I especially like is the wide range of colors with each color providing a different look, and in some cases, a different style. I favor the Mary Jane look, which is what initially attracted me to this shoe. What you get here is a playful look--Mary Jane--with comfort and style. This shoe is a definite winner!

I have never bought shoes online before but am so confident of the Merrell shoe, I am taking a chance. Let's see how the navy Encore MJ shoes wear!

Pros: lightweight, versatile style. I like the leather option I got instead of the meshy fabric.

Cons: I guess I have really wide feet, because these Merrells just aren't wide enough in the toe box. All my toes are squished. Unfortunately, I'll be sending these back. I'm not sure if a 1/2 size up would be any better or just longer.

Bottom line: cute shoes but not for wide feet.

My six year old loves these, he wears a 1 in nike, and a 1 in these. The Nikes fit a little closer as I feel nike typically does. These fit more like what I expect a 1 to fit like. So there a little loose, but just growing room as I had expected.

My son loves these slip ons, the first morning after receiving them he even put them on straight out if bed, to go to the bathroom. Well be purchasing again and again I feel. They're just too cute on too. we got the brown, it's not a warm reddish brown, more of a grey dirt brown neutral. Perfect, neutral and hides drips, dirt, and splashes. Closed toe but no need for socks is great for mornings we're running behind, or warmer school days.
He claims they're as comfy as my Sanuk sandals, with the squishy insole. Yesterday he wore them on a field trip where we walked most of the day and no complaints, except that some bark got in his shoe, and he just shook it out.

I bought these for my 10 year old son, and he loves them. We live in Florida, and he wears flip flops 90% of the time. It's hard to get him in sneakers, because he doesn't like how bulky they are. These are a great close-toed alternative. They don't provide arch or ankle support though, so I wouldn't recommend them for long walks or any type of exercise.

My son is in the hospital and doesn't want to wear shoes. I didn't want him wearing sandals or slippers on the dirty floor so these were the perfect compromise! They are lightweight like flip-flops but with a comfortable shoe upper covering the foot and toes. He was not excited when I ordered them but now adores them. He wears them without socks. The sizing was exactly perfect. I am thrilled with this purchase.
