3.0 out of 5 stars Good for smaller tvs
This is good for a smaller TV..my 42" Viejo barely fits! It's on the limits of the two bars that it hangs off of and as it holds the weight fine I'm happy with it, and for the price..however, they should advertise that it is better to use not with a 42!

This review is from: Sanus MT25-B1 Tilting Wall Mount for 26" to 42" Displays (Electronics)
This Sanus tilting wall mount is the smaller version of the non-tilting one I use on my $6,000 50" Fujitsu plasma TV. It has all the ruggedness and strength of its bigger sibling, lots of mounting hardware for both the wall mounting and TV mounting, and provisions for locking the TV to the wall.

Thick, heavy gauge steel that's finished with a nice black paint, a smooth up/down tilt track and positive screw-clutch mechanizm completes the package. Very good straight-ahead instructions are included, too.

There are multiple holes to mate to your TV threads. The two brackets attach independantly to each side of the back of the TV.

Getting the whole thing onto the wall mount is as easy as tilting the TV bottom out, hooking the tops of the brackets over the wall mount, rotating the TV bottom down and flipping the locking tabs in place.

Once you get the wall mount bolted to the wall and the two brackets on the TV, it takes about 30 seconds to get the TV secured to the wall, which is great because you don't want to have to fumble and fool around trying to get "your precious" secured to the wall.

When I was shopping for the 32" Samsung LCD TV that is going onto this mount, I looked at some of the wall mounts they had at the store, and they were pitiful little things by comparison. I headed right home and ordered this one from Amazon.

This is a great medium-size wall mount, highly recommended.

I only wish I had opened this and put it up sooner. It arrived on a Tuesday and rather than installing it that night I waited until the weekend to open. Dumb move because it took all of 15 minutes to install. Measure, drill two holes and tighten bracket to wall with lag bolts (supplied), attach mounts to back of TV with machine screws (supplied) and hang on wall bracket. Couldn't be simpler and looks great holding my 32" Panasonic LCD just inches from the wall.

4.0 out of 5 stars It does the job..., December 7, 2007
This review is from: Sanus MT25-B1 Tilting Wall Mount for 26" to 42" Displays (Electronics)
I recently purchased this mount to go with a 23" Samsung LCD. I had purchased a different one previously, but it didn't fit my TV very well, so I returned it and got this one. First off, this mount is very sturdy. It fits tightly to the wall and has a fairly low profile, which is both good and bad, and the black paint looks pretty good. The bad news is that it doesn't offer much more than this. Though it came with several choices of nuts and bolts for different sized TV's, which was nice, installation was a bit of a hassle. Also, as I mentioned previously, the low profile can be a disadvantage at times, especially when you need to get the ports on the back of your TV. Another thing that I didn't like, was that the mounting bar that screws into the back of my LCD is a bit longer than it needs to be, causing it to obscure one of my component video ports. It's not to big of deal, since I wasn't using it anyhow, but if I was, I wouldn't be too happy about that. All in all, it's a solid sturdy wall mount that offers good strength for the price and tilt functionality, but little else.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value for Flat Screen Mount, February 26, 2008

There are certainly a lot of different mounts for flat-screen televisions on the market and most seem very expensive. The MT25-B1 is one of the cheaper alternatives. It is a no-frills mount, to be sure. It offers about 7-8° of vertical tilt, up or down. It has a very low profile, which can make connections difficult on some televisions (I recommend having a photo or other image of the connections panel of your TV *before* mounting). However, the low-profile looks great once installed and despite the tight space behind the television is a key feature of this mount. The black powder coated metal is heavy gage and feels very substantial.

Installation is 2-3 connectors, most types of which are provided. We opted for two lag screws into a wood stud. This installation was simple and fast (about 20 minutes for something I had never done before). The mount is very sturdy with no movement in the television at all. The threaded knobs on each side keep the TV at the angle we place it at. The television brackets can even be padlocked to the wall mount for situations where security is needed.

The only drawback of this mount is that the connectors must be centered on the mount, limiting placement to where wall structural elements are located (that is, you can't really offset it laterally along your wall).

For reference, this mount is supporting a 40" Samsung LCD (LNT4053H).

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice wall mount., February 10, 2010

This review is from: Sanus MT25-B1 Tilting Wall Mount for 26" to 42" Displays (Electronics)
I did quite a bit of shopping and reading reviews when it came to searching for a wall mount. My television is a 32" LCD, and while not the heaviest of televisions, with a weight of just under 25 pounds, I still wanted a sturdy mount. Some of the mounts available on the market just do not look very sturdy. This mount is as sturdy as it looks. It is rated for 100 pounds or less, and I can say without hesitation that I would be confident mounting a television of that weight with proper installation of the mount. The mount comes with all the necessary hardware to mount into a wooden stud (lag bolts), or into a masonry wall(lead inserts and bolts). It also provides the necessary spacers (2 sizes) to mount the brackets if your television has a contoured back, or you can mount them flush to a tv with a flat back. It also comes with a variety of bracket bolts to secure the brackets to the tv. Securing the wall plate to the wall was very simple, but be sure to take the time to level it. While the brackets do offer adjustment, it it much easier to level the wall plate than attempting to level with the brackets. (If you're a perfectionist like I am, a television mounted just off level can be quite an eyesore.) Hanging the tv onto the wall plate was easy, and it offers locking tabs for extra security that can be provided with a padlock (sold separately). Depending on your mounting pattern (I believe this mount accommodates every pattern except 200 x 800 or wider), the mount allows the tv to slide side to side to get the centering perfect. It also has stops on each side as not to allow the brackets to slide off the wall plate.

There are two small "issues" that kept me from giving this mount 5 stars. First, once the brackets are locked into place onto the wall plate, there is a small amount of play. I would have preferred it to have felt a little more secure (that's not to say it isn't). I actually had to stand back and wiggle it a little to be sure it was locked. Second, when mounting the brackets flush (without spacers), gaining access to the tilt adjustment knobs can be quite cumbersome due to the space between the tv and wall. This is not necessarily a bad thing because it means the tv is mounted close to the wall for a cleaner look, and once the tension of the adjustment knobs is set, you shouldn't have to play with it again.

These two small issues would not keep me from buying this product again, and I would recommend it to anybody.

This review is from: Sanus MT25-B1 Tilting Wall Mount for 26" to 42" Displays (Electronics)
I had been considering mounting a flat panel above my fireplace and was skeptical about doing so because of heat. I only had thirty five inches of available height above the fireplace mantle to work with, width not an issue. I thought a 42" flat panel was my only option, therefore I purchased this mount. After receiving the mount, I was pleasantly surprised that the width of the mount would go to 400mm or 15.75". The mount has a wieght rating of 100lbs, therefore I could mount a 47" flat panel well under 100lbs. I purchased the mount before aquiring a flat panel. It came with all the hardware and in a timely fashion. The price was considerably less than other sites and stores. Very pleased with purchase.

The Sanus MT25-B1 is a tilting wall mount for smaller-size flat panel televisions. It mounts to a single stud, so there is a weight limit. You mount a bracket to the wall and 2 brackets to the back of the TV. It comes with excellent instructions and goes up very easily. The one difficult thing was leveling the TV. This is done by making small adjustments to the brackets on the back of the TV. You have to hang the TV, take it off and loosen the 2 screws on one bracket, move the bracket slightly up or down, tighten the screws, hang it again and re-check the level. I had to go through this cycle at least 6-8 times until I got it level. Unlike their mounts for large-size displays which have small screws you can adjust while the TV is already hung, this is a pain to adjust. Once done, it stays level and works just great.

I have always been reticent to buy a flat screen to hang on wall because I was always intimadated by the install. This product made it super easy to install as a single female with limited tools. I was able to hang by myself and have great success. I highly recomend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mount for the money - shop around for best price, January 31, 2009
This review is from: Sanus MT25-B1 Tilting Wall Mount for 26" to 42" Displays (Electronics)
We purchased a 37" LG TV for the bedroom, and wanted a tilting bracket to make viewing it more comfortable while laying in bed. I read some good reviews of the product, and found it available for $57 from Amazon. Shipping and handling was another $10 or so.

It was very easy to install, and came with a wide selection of mounting hardware. The flat bracket installs on the wall, then the two rails install on the back of the TV. Then, it's a simple matter of lifting the TV up and clipping the rails on to the bracket. You can slide the TV left and right a bit to better center the TV for your viewing position.

I give this TV mount a 2 thumbs up. I would also recommend Peerless TV mounts. We've had good luck with one of those as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great wallmount for a 32" LCD, April 25, 2008

This review is from: Sanus MT25-B1 Tilting Wall Mount for 26" to 42" Displays (Electronics)
I mounted my Sharp Aquos 32" LCD on the wall in my master retreat using the Sanus MT25-B1. One word describes the look and performance of the product, WOW! The screen looks too perfect against the wall and the Sanus engineers did a great job with this one. I will definitely purchase the Sanus brand again. The only thing that I do not like about the bracket is the way that the locking connectors work. They are too close to the wall and when installing/removing the LCD from the wall bracket there is potential to scratch the wall. Not a major issue though.
