I needed an adapter to mount a Samsung 24" computer LCD with 200x100 pattern on an Ergotech 100x100 mount. The mounting area on the Samsung is recessed and I couldn't find an adapter to fit it, but this adapter worked after I got some longer bolts. The bolts you will need are metric M4-.70 x 16mm. Lowes has a bag of 4 for 88 cents in the metric section of their hardware drawers. You might as well get a little bag of 4mm washers too, since they have them right there with the bolts. With the longer bolts, the adapter works perfectly on the Samsung and is very sturdy. Five stars since it isn't the adapter's fault that the Samsung is poorly designed.

I recently had to replace a 26" wall mounted HD television. I thought it would be a snap. Take down the old one and move the mounting bracket to the new on. NOT SO FAST. The original TV had VESA compliant mounting screws and they were in a pattern of 100mm x 100mm. Upon unpacking the replacement TV (Toshiba) I found that while VESA compliant the mounting screws were now in a 100mm x 200mm pattern. A little searching while google and I found this Sanus Systems adapter place. A few days after ordering this I had what I needed to get the new TV up on the wall were it belonged. Hope this helps someone else with this situation.

A couple of points: There are no 75mm holes, so when mounting to an adjustable arm, you may have to use the plate which changes the mounting arm from 75mm to 100mm, then attach this adapter as well. This adapter may be a little oversized if installing on a monitor with a recessed, or flush mount bracket. Due to this, the supply screws weren't deep enough to me use. I had to go to the hardware store and get ones with the right depth. Used on Samsung Syncmaster 245BW and Ergotron LX Desk Mount.

Excellent fix for the problem that it was designed to address.
It's a shame that they don't tell you that you may need this adapter when you purchase the wall mount. I found out only after some investigation.

I purchased a Samsung 2494LW 24-Inch LCD Monitor (Black). Some IMHO developmentally disabled person over at Samsung decided to use a nonstandard 200x100mm "VESA" mounting configuration. I knew this before I purchased it so I also purchased this Sanus Systems Adapter Plate. It worked well. However, I had to go to 4 different hardware stores before I obtained all the screws, nuts, and washers I needed. To make things a little harder for me, the Samsung engineers also decided to make the mounting area recessed. A previous reviewer for the Sanus plate is correct. You will need 4 metric M4-.70 x 16mm deep screws for each plate. However, you will also need 4 metric M4-.70 x 10mm deep screws, 12 4mm washers, and 4 M4 nuts. The Vertical Dual LCD Monitor Stand (Holds Up to 24 Inch Monitors) which I purchased only accepts M4 screws. If you are mounting a Samsung, BE SURE you use TWO washers for the 16mm deep screws for attaching the Sanus plate. You don't want to damage your new and expensive monitor. You can use 1 washer for each 10mm screw for each of the monitor stand holes.

After I was forced to go to 4 different hardware stores, I thought it wasn't worth the trouble and perhaps I should have purchased a 24" monitor with standard 100x100mm mounting holes. However, with the mounting results I obtained and after looking at the Samsung, I changed my mind. The Samsung has an excellent picture. In fact, it may even look better than the NEC 19IN LCD Monitor (1280X1024 VGA/ Dvi-d Spkr Blk Cabinet 3YR Warr) I purchased. The Samsung has the older LCD technology and the NEC has the newer LED backlight technology. While the 19" NEC was far easier to mount, I think the Samsung looks better.

If you don't want to go through the trouble of finding all the required mounting hardware, I suggest you purchase the NEC Display E231W-BK 23-Inch Widescreen LED-Backlit LCD Monitor instead. The E231W-BK is the same size as the Samsung and is based on the newer LED backlight technology. I don't know if the NEC is as clear as the Samsung though.

BTW, Sanus included 4 M5 nuts and they are totally worthless. Half of them are DEFECTIVE!!! Furthermore, Sanus left out the M4 nuts which I could actually have used. I did use their M4 x 10mm deep screws though.

Overall, I am satisfied with the results. I am currently writing this review using the 24" Samsung and it is HUGE. The 19" NEC monitor is also working fine. I have included pictures in the photo section for the Sanus plate.

I got this hoping to adapt my Samsung 245T to a Ergotron arm. Unfortunately, the plate is just too big for the recessed area on the back of the monitor.

Also, this is a flat plate. If using a monitor with no recessed area, then there is not sufficient clearence for the screws. A flat plate is always a bad design for a 100x100 to 100x200 VESA mount adapter. A proper adapter is raised, to provide clearence for the inner set of screws.

The Sanus Systems Adapter Plate works exactly as specified. After coming home with a Toshiba 26" LCD TV and Sanus full-motion wall mount (SF213-B1) I was disappointed to find that the mount was only compatible with square VESA patterns out of the box (75x75mm & 100x100mm). The TV, as luck would have it, had a 200x100mm mounting pattern. I mistakenly purchased the mount without verifying the TV's VESA pattern in the store. One could argue that Sanus should include such an adapter with their mount, given that it is a relatively inexpensive addition to help cover the gamut of TV options - but that shouldn't detract from the rating of this adapter plate.

For clarification, this adapter includes four (4) M5 flat head machine screws, six (6) M4x10mm phillips pan head machine screws, and four (4) nuts. Between the wall mount hardware and this kit, I had everything I needed to make our wall mount compatible with our LCD TV.

It was a perfect fit and allowed me to attach my Samsung monitor which had a 100mm x 200mm configuration to the Ergotron LX Desk Mount. The only problem I had with it was the fact that the included thumb screws were too short. I picked up some that worked.

Easy to attach to both the TV and the support arm. Too bad that Sony requires this at all!

Exactly what I needed. As strong as the main bracket. Glad I found this product. Just wish they had this in black.
