4.0 out of 5 stars Good Value
Ordered 2 sets for my Yamaha speakers. Base is black and sufficiently weighted to keep the stands from falling over. Poles are silver which matches the color of my speakers. It doesn't mention in the description but there's 2 stands per box. I would have given 5 stars but one stand had a small nick on the corner where the paint is scratched off. Not a big deal since...

3.0 out of 5 stars Mostly good
1. Even though it says 'stand' in the product description, it is 2 stands in the box.
2. The compression nut that screws down to immobilize the top half is plastic. Should be metal. Be careful screwing down too tight or you may strip threads.
3. If you have Bose speakers, they will not fit with the attachments given. You will need to go to a hardware store,...

Not a big deal since this one will sit in a corner and won't be seen. Several different brackets to install numerous types of speakers. My speakers can take a screw directly in the back but the screws were too long. I had to use washers to take up the space. These are a good value in my opinion.

I bought two sets of these stands for use with my Boston Acoustics home theater setup and they have been fantastic. The fit and finish is well done, running wires through the stand was easy, and they look good with the rest of my equipment. Would get 5 stars but they feel a bit tippy with the heavier front speakers (this is mostly due to how they are fixed to the stands.) Overall a very good product that I highly recommend.

I had bought a much more expensive gadget that was to support my PC speakers but it was a big, clumsy, ugly set of stainless steel clamps and tended to drop the speakers, damaging one. This Home Theatre Speaker Stand is actually a set of two which assemble very easily and have worked well. They blend in with my decor and are unobtrusive. They were very reasonably priced and arrived very quickly. I am very happy with my purchase.

3. If you have Bose speakers, they will not fit with the attachments given. You will need to go to a hardware store, buy 3" brackets & a round file. You get the idea ...
4. Base and bottom half of stand are fine.

Very disappointed in the compression nut. Otherwise fine stands, if you do not have Bose speakers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Speaker Stands by SANUS, February 16, 2007

I found the speaker stands to be of good quality and construction. The cast iron bases keep the stands secure. The verticle tubing is off set to keep the speakers on a verticle plain which helps balance. The tubing is adjustible for various heights. The base is black with the tubing a silver color which matches most of the products sold today. The speakers I have are silver with black screens. The stands come with several options of hardware which will accomodate the mounting of most all small to medium speakers. I am very well satisfied with the speaker stands and would recomend them to anyone that wants to mount their speakers.

Bought these speaker stands after reading some reviews on Amazon. I thought, 'what the heck, if they stink, I'll only have spent $35'. I was surprised when they arrived and I assembled them. The stands are as well constructed as you would expect, with adapters for just about any kind of satellite speaker you'll find (keyhole, etc). I bought the first set for my rear speakers and am now getting ready to buy a second set for the front speakers to elevate them off the bookshelf. Good product with excellent value.

5.0 out of 5 stars highly recommended, March 2, 2008

I got a new sony dvd player with surround sound and it did not come with the stands on a six speaker system and when I looked them up on Sony's website, they were 99.99 and when I saw these, I got them and they do the very same thing for a fraction of the cost. They work perfect with my Sony speakers and I got two sets. Very easy and fast to set up and it comes with various brackets for different spekers. I put my front and surround sound on them and watched the fast and the furious tonight. When I got in my car after the movie I felt like I was living the movie. They were just the perfect hight for my system to be able to reach its full potential. They are the perfect stands for small speakers.

I am using these for my rear speakers because I dont want to drill a hole in the wall, and this serves its purpose and then some. Base is very sturday, with a strong two-piece pole, that can basically attach itself to any speaker that is reasonably sized and is bracket-ready (a hole, etc).

I recommend this to anyone looking for a great product....plus I got free shipping and no tax :)

5.0 out of 5 stars They Work Perfect, January 31, 2007

Was first drawn to them based on price so I took a chance and ordered them. They came in a small box so I thought this must be a mistake or the wrong item but when I opened the box it was correct. After 10 minute assembly procees (very easy) I had my speakers (bose cubes)attached and the wires ran through them. Very sturdy and the height, although at the maximum, puts them just above my couch. Exactly what I was looking for in fit and function.

This review is from: Sanus Systems HTB-7 Home Theater Speaker Stand (Electronics)
Purchased the Sanus HTB-7 speaker stand set to provide a better, more convenient installation of my small rear "Theater in a box" speakers. This has a number of benefits including better speaker placement for sound/separation quality, freeing up space on a crowded library table and keeping the cat from knocking one speaker off the fireplace ledge.

Installation of the speakers was straightforward and quick. The set comes with a variety of hardware elements to accommodate many speaker mounting configurations. Very thoughtful. The teardrop base is substantial enough in weight and shape without being execessively large. Each speaker can be raised, lowered or turned on its mount readily to permit simple fine tuning of positioning and aiming.

The only complaint I have is regarding the speaker wire exit on the mounting stands. The stand shafts are hollow to permit routing the wires from the floor through the base and stand shafts up to the speaker. An elongated hole on the shaft near the top is intended as the wire exit from the shaft to route to the speaker. Pushing a twisted wire pair up from the bottom of the shaft is okay until you reach the exit hole. The trick is to somehow grasp the wires to pull them out of the smallish hole. A bent paper clip or some stiff wire is needed to finish the job.

All in all, these speaker stands are functional, unobtrusive, attractive and relatively inexpensive. There are other manufacturers and Sanus models but these are definitely worth the price.
