After being completely dissatisfied with the wobbly tabletop stand for my 55" Hitachi 55HDS69 plasma, I began looking for a wall mount. Having bought furniture made by Sanus Systems in the past and being 100% satisfied with it, I opted for this mount (in silver). Amazon had the best price by far. This mount is beautiful and extremely heavy duty. Mounting is straight forward and the adjustments are limitless. Moving the plasma (130lbs) is effortless with this mount. The silver model has a glossy finish to it that is impressive for a tv mount. I can push the plasma completely against the wall if desired - great for parties, etc. Although several screw sizes are included, I found the screws that Hitachi already included made the best fit. You WILL need someone to help you pick up the tv/mount assembly for final installation. Basically you bolt the plate to the wall, install the mount to the tv and hang the mount/tv on the bracket. This mount is very heavy (60+lbs) and super sturdy. My wife was even impressed. I will not hesitate to purchase another one if there is a need. I would definitely go with this larger Sanus mount if you have a TV larger than 50". There are lcoking brackets that can be tightened to hold the TV position static - or they can be left loose so the TV can be moved when needed. What more can I say, it's a TV mount that is beautifully constructed. There is an optional center channel speaker bracket you can buy for it also.

The Design is great and exactly what i needed. It's got a very easy brainless setup but the LAG bolts were really cheap. I went and spent 3.86 on new lagbolts and asked amazon compensation! I broke 2 of the lag bolts just ratcheting them. They literally snapped off! I've never EVER had this with a lag bolt, ever. So that's my advice. If you buy this item spend about 3-4$ for higher quality lagbolts. Other than that it's a great item but because i got inferior quality bolts i can't give this item any higher than 3 star.

After much scrutiny, I chose this model mount for my Samsung A650 52" LCD TV. By Sanus's ratings, I could have selected the next model down (the VMAA26B), but I checked the mounts out in person and saw that this mount has two arms that hold this to the wall bracket, vs. only one arm on the VMAA26B. While I'm sure the next model down would also hold the set to the wall securely, this just gave me better peace of mind, and I didn't read about any leveling problems, as I had with the other mount.
Installation: As I read in a previous review here, download the more detailed intructions from Sanus's website first - the instructions in the box are made for the clairvoyant. I read the (downloaded) instructions thoroughly. It was a breeze to install. I even had my 4 year old "helping" and it still was easy. Unlike the comments I had read previously, the hardware that came with the mount was just fine - it comes with 4 different sets of bolts made for attaching different kinds of TV's to the mount. Professional help is not required. Just make sure your bolts on the wall plate are going into the center of studs. I used a stud finder to locate the studs, then with a 1/16 drill bit, I drilled tiny test holes one inch to each side of where the stud finder said the center of the studs were located. I did this to confirm that the studs were indeed centered where the stud finder said they were. As it turns out, they were. Once the wall plate is mounted, you can install the hardware on the back of the set while it's still on its stand. Then simply lift (two people required for this move) and hang from the wall plate. Tighten the safety screws on the bottom and you're done! Without the "help" of my 4 year old, I probably could have mounted the set in less than 45 minutes. Extremely well made, easy to install, I would recommend to anyone. BTW - specifically to the Samsung A650 52" set, I used the included spacer hardware and got the TV mounted perfectly centered. You could mount with the flat option (no spacers) but the set would not be vertically centered on the mount. I recommend using the spacers.

Simple, easy to set up...,

I have three Sanus TV mounts and all three were easy to set up. First attaching the back plate to the wall studs with lag bolts (just big screws that hold the plate to the wall). Then you screw in two support brackets to the back of the TV. Sanus provides a variety of screw sizes to fit many TVs mounting holes. Once you have the mounting brackets attached to your TV, then you insert the two rods you see in the picture (top and bottom). While inserting the rods, you run them threw the mounting arm. Tighten down the clamps on the rods and you now have a mounting arm ready to attach to the plate on the wall. This is the most difficult part, getting help to lift the TV and hang the mounting arm on the wall plate. But once that is done, all you do is tighten screws at the bottom of the mounting arm and you are done. Now the TV is easy to articulate where you need it. In mounting all three of my TVs on the wall, I used the Sanus mount and it was a no hassle easy to do process. I'm very pleased with the quality and I'm an engineer... (meaning I'm picky)

Beware the lag bolts,

Overall, this is a great product and very sturdy. However, beware of the four lag bolts supplied with the product (these are the bolts that secure the mount to the wall). One of the lag bolts snapped in half during our installation and I see that this has also happened to other reviewers of this product. Considering that these bolts are 'where the rubber meets the road' I highly recommend purchasing stainless steel lag bolts and tossing the Sanus supplied bolts in the garbage.

I needed to mount a 58" Panasonic Plasma on the wall in a corner where putting the TV on a stand would not have worked well nor given access to the rear of the set for wiring w/o serious practical problems (due to being in a corner).
This Sanus mount is breathtakingly sturdy when the box is opened. "Sturdy" is an understatement. Assembly takes a little bit of head scratching reading the instructions but went pretty smoothly and quickly. It comes with a set of hardware for various sizes of screws that a TV might have, for our 58" set it used the largest set. One has to "test" using the screws to see which one fits. Despite our TV being rather large we still can turn the TV to nearly perpendicular to the wall which makes very easy access to the rear of the set when I need to hook up cables -- and in our situation of corner mounting, the set turns to about 30~40 degrees just generally when being used. The mounting plate system also made the daunting task of lifting the TV up and onto the wall refreshingly straightforward and dare I say the word: "easy" (in my case with the help of my brother, for just one person it'd be impossible I think). Ours has been up on the wall for about two weeks. It has a lot of adjustment available. The assembly manual can be downloaded from the Sanus website to see what is involved and the flexibility available. They've also a dimensioned drawing of the mount to give an idea of the sizes of things. In summary, VERY sturdy, impressive to look at, and is not difficult to install. I highly recommend it.

I needed a mount big enough for a 52" LCD that would also allow easy access to the back inputs. This mount delivers! It's very sturdy and had lots of options for adjustments (panning included) which will help you get it centered even if the studs you use aren't located in the ideal spot on the wall.
A couple of my friends helped me install it and it went pretty smoothly. When they un-boxed it, the immediate reaction was "Wow, this is nice!" I downloaded a PDF off the Sanus website of installation instructions that were more detailed then the one in the box so we ended up using those as our guide. At one point we thought we where missing a screw, but it turned out we just needed to use one of the provided spacers to make one of the longer screws fit correctly. Once the TV is hung, it is very easy to move around and feels very solid - no jiggling or wiggling. This mount was exactly what I needed. My only complaint would be the price :) but you get what you pay for I guess.

I wanted to use this in conjunction with an enclosing tv cabinet so needed a mount for my 50" plasma tv that was sturdy and would colapse close to the wall. As it was going onto a wall near a corner it needed to also have a lot of flexibility with angling. This mount works perfectly. It is only about four inches from the wall to the back of the tv and allows the mount and tv to colapse iside the 9 inch depth cabinet. It has great flexibility with angling and comes out of the cabinet far enough that the cabinet does not restrict the angling of the tv. It is very steady with no sag even fully extended. There have been a few that complained about the lag bolts and instructions but I thought instalation was simple and straight forward. I put a little soap on the lag bolts to reduce friction and they went in easily with no problems. I did a lot of online research before I bought this mount and I have no regrets and would definitely choose this one again in a heart beat. If there is a better mount out there for what I wanted, I could not find it.

We bought this to mount a 120# Pioneer KURO 60 inch plasma and the mount while expensive is very massive/reasuring and articulates in ALL directions which makes cable hookups etc a breeze. Do not be disuaded by the price - it is worth every penny. Definitely recommend professional installation. Price as usual is 25% lower than at Best Buy. Don't skimp on your mount! This is the one.

I purchased this mount for a Pioneer PRO1150HD 50" plasma. A friend and I put it up on the wall in about an hour. Installation is a little complex, but well worth the effort as it looks great and functions beautifully (make sure you hit those studs!). I would recommend this product to anyone.
