This review is from: Sanus VMPL250B Fixed Low-Profile Wall Mount for 30" to 56" Displays (Black) (Electronics)
I mounted a 42" Samsung and I agree with other reviewers that this mount feels really sturdy. It was very easy to mount and the ability to lock the TV to the wall is a plus. Two items you might want to consider before buying this mount; the mount does not tilt vertically and it mounts very close to the wall. I am fortunate that the Samsung that I mounted as a set HDMI inputs on the side, I don't think I could get the HDMI hooked up in the back without damaging the HDMI cord. But for the price it is hard to complain about this product. If I was to buy a wall mount again I would defiantly consider this one due to price but I would probably look for one that had a 10 to 15 degree vertical tilt.

Great mount but not for Panasonic Plasmas...,

This review is from: Sanus VMPL250B Fixed Low-Profile Wall Mount for 30" to 56" Displays (Black) (Electronics)
This is a well constructed, heavy duty wall mount that is easy to install. At 1 ¼" it is very low profile...too low however for the Panasonic TH-50PX600U. Although it comes with lots of hardware for stud or cement mounting, the screws that are provided to connect the brackets to the flat panel are not long enough for the spacers Sanus provides to add some depth/clearance. Do yourself a favor before you purchase this item.[..]

This Mount Could Support a Tank,

Talk about solid! Be sure you observe the 30" minimum dimension. If you have a smaller display you'll want a different mount. This is a moose. It's simple, easy to mount if you've got stud construction and comes with a lot of hardware.

This flat panel TV mount worked great with my Panasonic plasma, with one exception, the plastic washers/shims (approximately 3/4" in thick) they provided were too long. To correct this I went and bought 1/4" nylon washers/shims which worked perfectly. The low price of the mount was also an added bonus.

This item is much cheaper than the other mounts you may find. But it's quality is top-notch. I ordered it thinking it might be junky - but it's made very well, engineered to be very strong, welded smoothly and the solid design makes you very confident in hanging your prized Plama on the wall.
Very happy with this purchase. Value is very good.

About as close as you can get to the wall with a brand name mount. Worst Buy sells these for at least twice the price.
Sanus rocks!

Great Product for 52-inch TV,

This review is from: Sanus VMPL250B Fixed Low-Profile Wall Mount for 30" to 56" Displays (Black) (Electronics)
Like all Sanus products this is a good one. It includes lots of hardware but I have found in several cases that the TV mounting bolts are either too long or too short. However, you can always use the bolts from your TV's stand which are typically the perfect length.
Other than the bolt issue, this is a great product and holds my heavy 52-inch TV very close to the wall. Be forewarned that you will have a very tight fit for cables behind the TV so cable connection before hanging is required. You will also need very small hands or a measuring tape to slide in the safety bar. Also note that in most home installs you do not need a mount that tilts since the viewing angle of most LCD TVs is very wide. This mount does not tilt. Check the Sanus website to check mount compatibility with your TV before you purchase.

I do a lot of research online and in store comparisons before I buy most of my items. The wall mounts in stores like CC and BB are all overpriced. I read the reviews on Amazon and made my decision to go with this model. The mount arrived in like 2 days and it took a total of maybe 15min to hang. The product is built well and comes with everything you need. Why pay over a hundred or two hundred dollars for a piece of metal to hang your tv. I tested the product by hanging from it and I weigh 180lbs, it did not budge. It sits flush and works as described. Do not waste your money on something else that does the same thing.

This mount keeps my 40" Samsung Ln40b630 secure against the wall. The appearance is very sleek and creates a "picture frame" look which is what I wanted, especially in my smaller living room. I did not an issue getting my cables behind the TV. There is very little room, but a small price to pay for the appearance. I had to purchase some 90 degree RCA adapters for my composite/component cables, but everything else fits fine. I am using an Amazon Basics HDMI cable which is not getting pinched against the wall with my configuration. Some TVs or bigger cables might be faced with this issue.
However, the TV is rather loose against the mount. The railing piece that is screwed into the TV sets on top of the mount that is bolted into the wall. This is how many other mounts work, except once the railing and mount meet, it seems very flimsy with this one. I know the TV isnt going anywhere, especially once the safety bar is installed. Its just bothersome that the tv can be jiggled and too easily slid from side to side. I am confident that it has nothing to do with the way I installed it. Like I said, I know my TV isnt going to fall off the wall, I just wish the mount held the TV a little tighter. Hence the 4 stars. I would still buy this mount again and recommend it to friends.

Sturdy ... used for mounting Sony 52",
This review is from: Sanus VMPL250B Fixed Low-Profile Wall Mount for 30" to 56" Displays (Black) (Electronics)
Very sturdy mount. I used it to mount a Sony 52" LCD TV. I connected the TV with component cables, which provide just as good a picture as HDMI, and had no trouble with the plugs, even though the mount causes the TV to be close to the wall. However, I used RCA plugs that turned 45 degrees instead of straight (I made my own cables, as I always do, using RG6 coax, each cable is about 33 feet, and works perfectly).
Only one problem which lowered the product to 4 stars, the 4 screws mounting to the TV itself were not quite long enough, so I had to get new ones at hardware store for a couple of dollars. |
