Does what it says.
I have a panasonic th-65pz850u 65" plasma TV. It weighs 160 LBS. This thing is a monster, and this mount was the only one that I could find to handle the 44" W of the mounting backet holes on the TV. I did need to get the extension for this product, but it was fairly cheap and great construction. Works well.

its a fine product, just was not needed for a panasonic 65"
its a fine product, just was not needed for a Panasonic 65". I read where this might be needed so I got it incase. but at install time I got it up to the mount without needing this. so if you have a Panasonic 65" set just get their extra large mount and skip the adapter.
