Better than the Grossan Hydropulse,

This review is from: Sanvic Pulsatile Nasal / Sinus Irrigator (Individual: 1 Adult Tip Included) (Health and Beauty)
I have pretty bad nasal allergies, so when I found about pulsatile nasal irrigation, I knew it was something I should try. I got the Grossan, but it started leaking after the 3rd time I used it, so I had to return it. If you read the reviews for that product, you'll see I'm not the only one who had problems with it.I was looking around for an alternative and found the Sanvic. I noticed that one of the previous reviewers complained that the water pressure isn't as good. I don't really need that much pressure, so this is not an issue for me. But it is true that the highest setting on the Sanvic would only be about medium on the Grossan, so if you do need a lot of pressure, that is something to consider. So far, the Sanvic works great. I've only had it for a month, but I use it at least once, sometimes twice a day, especially now that spring allergy season has started. Using it is easy and fuss-free. I suppose only time will tell how durable it is, but so far, so good.

Great Product,
This review is from: Sanvic Pulsatile Nasal / Sinus Irrigator (Individual: 1 Adult Tip Included) (Health and Beauty)
It really feels great that you can feel something gets pulled/pushed out from the inside of your nose; and seeing the yellow mucus gets flushing down the sink along with the warm saline water made me feel very achieving! My nose was totally unplugged after the irrigation and the delight to breath fresh again was just wonderful. The water pulse is very comfortable. Also as a product designer, I have to say unlike many health care devices, the manufacturer really put a great effort into the design and the manufacturing quality of the machine.

I originally wrote a negative review on THIS product which was intended for another product from a different vendor (MY MISTAKE, didn't pay attention to which product I was reviewing at a time that I had several to review). This vendor has excellent service, top notch packaging and very quick shipping. I am very satisfied and would buy from this merchant again!

This is the first electric nasal irrigator I have used so I can't compare it to other brands but it seems well made and definitely seems more effective as a sinus rinse than the manual squeeze bottles or a traditional neti pot. It is noisy and somewhat inconvenient because you have to use it at home but I supplement by using Sinox spray when needed during the rest of the day.

I just got the unit today for my 3 year old daughter who has reoccurring sinus infections. I am very pleased with the product my daughter used it all by herself and asked to do it again. We have tried other brands of sinus rinses and all have been horrible. I have to put her in a head lock and hold her hands down and squirt the solution up her nose, she ends up coughing and gagging. I am hoping this works I have had her to multiple doctors for a chronic cough that she only gets in the winter. They put her on multiple rounds of antibiotics and steroids which then once she is off the antibiotics and steroids within a week she is sick again. She also looses weight because she is sick all winter. Around Easter every year she has a febrile seizure and I took her to a Neurologist and he said it is because she is sick all winter and her body can not fight it anymore. Thank you so much for a product that my 3 year old can use and it is not a battle to do. I will keep you posted on her progress.Update: we have been using the product now for 2 weeks and she has had no cough. AWESOME PRODUCT.

Not enough water pressure.,

I bought this as an alternative to the Grossan Hydro Pulse, which I've been using for over five years now. The problem with the Hydro Pulse is that it always breaks down just after the one-year warranty is over. I was hoping that the Sanvic irrigator might last a bit longer. I really liked the look of the Sanvic, especially the enclosed storage section (the storage on the Hydro Pulse is open and gets dirty easily). Unfortunately, even at the highest setting, the water pressure from the Sanvic didn't even come close to that of the Hydro Pulse. I need the water to get up into my ethmoid and frontal sinuses, so I need the stronger flow and, therefore, had to go back to the Hydro Pulse. I really liked everything else about the Sanvic, though, so I really wish I could have given it a try. Maybe they'll be able to get a stronger flow by the time my Hydro Pulse conks out in a year. If you like a softer flow of water, this might still work for you.

TERRIBLE...the water pressure STINKS,

I agree with another reviewer on this page. The water pressure STINKS. For most allergic patients, the nasal mucus becomes pretty corroded. We need stronger water pressure to ensure that we will feel better and clear.I hate spending over $100 dollars on something just to have it be totally disappointing! VERY disappointing. I will be returning this. The Hydro Pulse may break down after one year, but I would still buy it again. That is what I am doing right now. Although it may stink in terms of design, the pressure is the best. Don't bother. -A |
