LOVE this phone. It is perfect for texting, and I have NOT had the problems some have reported about signal strength. I am getting the same signal strength, if not better, than I had with Verizon. When talking, the caller is clear and I have not had any negative feedback from listeners on the other end. The phone takes great pictures and has so many programmable features. I can set separate ringtones for my contact list vs. unknown callers, different text alerts for unknown callers, etc. Lots of options and variability. It had over 30 ringtones already pre-programmed, and it is very user friendly and intuitive. I love that the texts scroll in conversation format, like an iPhone. I never send a text to the wrong person anymore! I am keeping it indefinitely. Kajeet has been a great service provider and is extremely more affordable. You do not have to have children to get it, even though it was designed for parent controls of kid's cell phones. They use Sprint's network, so it's good coverage and reliable. I wouldn't go back to verizon in a million years. The cost of the phone will pay for itself in less than 6 months if you use Kajeet's service. I originally wanted an iPhone, and don't get me wrong, this will NOT do everything an iPhone can do, but if you need a great cell phone with no activation fees, no termination fees, no contracts, and can live without all the apps for a while, this is IT!

I have had kajeet for about 10 months. I subscribed to the gps service in the begining but cancled after 2 months. The other day my daughters school called and said she was not at school. I imediately logged onto kajeet and reactivated the gps(make sure all time resrtiction are off when adding services over website). It tracked her in the park about a half block away from school. I then called her dad who left work to find her. And because I was able to tell him which way she was traveling he was able to find her walking down the street with her friend about half a mile from school. I am so glad I have that option on her phone. I would highly recomend this phone and service to any parent with a teen of any age. I never thought my child was capable of skipping but she did and because of kajeet we were able to stop her from getting into any more trouble.

I bought this for my teenage daughter. It's advertised that it's a phone for kids, but there's nothing "kid-ish" about this phone. I love it. It's up to date in every way. My daughter texts all the time, but barely talks on the phone. Therefore I bought her the "unlimited texting and 60 minutes per month plan" for $15 per month. That's a great bargain and fulfills her needs. What's also great about this phone, is if there's someone texting or calling her that is "annoying" her, I can block them from calling/texting her. I can also have her phone not ring at bedtime for those rude enough to call so late at night. If you're looking for a phone that doesn't cost much for monthly expenses (they also have unlimited talk/text) and want to be able to keep an eye on what's going on, this is perfect. Even the "coolest" teenager will love this phone.

I got this phone for my 10 year old daughter. It turned out to be a great starter phone, has everything she needs for her age, very easy texting feature and available apps like farmville for her to play on her phone. So far she has own this phone for 2 weeks now and we have had no issues with it. Battery life is about 2 day with use and 5or 6 days without use. I would recommend this phone.
