GE/SANYO NiMH Rechargeable Batteries,

This review is from: Sanyo 1,000 mAh AAA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack) (Electronics)
These are very good batteries. I charged those in my La Crosse BC-900 Charger. The following were the results after first charge. The four AAAs rated 1000mAh nominal (min 930mAh), all come out above 1000mAh, but very close to 1000mAh. I used the discharge setting of 100mA and charge at 200mA. (Those who use the BC-900 will know what I am talking about). The four AAs rated 2700mAh nominal (min 2500mAh) come out ranging 2.8Ah to 3.0Ah. I used the discharge setting of 250mA and charged at 500mA. I just started to use these batteries and do not know long term reliability. So far I am very happy with them.

Product works flawlessly. I bought 12 and am now buying 12 more.I have had no trouble with overheating. Older rechargeable batteries (especially AAAs) were duds. With 1000 mAhs, these AAA batteries are almost as strong as disposables. I use this charger: Maha PowerEx MH-C808M Ultimate Professional Charger - Battery charger, which I HIGHLY recommend. Again, no overheating problems.

I had a chance to compare rechargeable batteries from several different manufacturers including Energizer and Sony. These are by far the best product ever. Highly recommend it.

Great batteries with long life. Their shelf life holding a charge is not bad either. Wonderful value.

You get what you pay for.,
This review is from: Sanyo 1,000 mAh AAA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack) (Electronics)
These batteries have been the best NiMH rechargables I have owned. Specifically, the shelf life of their charge is fantastic, because they can sit for months and maintain a charge. Heat has not been an issue for me at all, but I generally use a trickle charger. The voltage and mah ratings have been consistent over the course of 6 months of ownership, with little/no decline in overall capacity. If these continue to preform through the entire 1000 charge cycles that are advertised, I am not sure how Sanyo can stay in business, but I will leave that up to them.

Only had these about one month. They are being used in 3 cordless phones. They sure hold a charge a lot longer than the OEM batteries that were in the Panasonic handsets out of the box!I have not had them long enough to see if they indeed will recharge as many times as advertised in the product description. But- for now- they seem OK to me. UPDATE--have had these in my cordless phones for about a year now! They are great-still holding a nice full charge. No memory effect noted.

I am very impressed with the engineering innovation in rechargable batteries at sanyo. I remember 20 years ago when 600 mah nicd cells were considered the best thing you could get, but times have changed.Today sanyo offers their nimh eneloop 2000 mah cell and their 2700 mah "normal" nimh cell This cell represents the highest energy storage you can get today (but that can change, and likely will). The best way to use these is to charge them at 400ma until 1.47V then trickle charge at 25-50 ma until ready to use to counter the losses of this type of cell (not found in eneloop). Ideally we could have 2700 mah eneloop cells, but not yet. I use the 2700 mah cell in high drain devices like photo flashes, or constant drain devices like digital recorders. The eneloop (especially their AAA size) are great for intermittant use, low drain devices like remote controls. As an example, using my marantz PMD-661 with eneloop cells it will run for 8.0 hours, when used with the 2700 mah cells here, I get 11+ hours (usually 11hr, 20 min). If runtime is what you want, and are willing to charge before use, this represents the best battery available today.

I've used these batteries for years already, and they have suited my purposes well in my MP3. Sony is better quality, ie last longer.
