The Sanyo 24 bottle wine cooler is about the best on the market for this size. Construction quality is quite good. I managed to fit 27 bottles of cabernet (7 on bottom shelf). The temperature control was perfect with the normal setting measured by my thermometer at 55 degrees, ideal for long term storage of fine wines. I got tired of my wine spoiling after a few months, even in the basement, and the good stuff is getting outrageously expensive. I now feel much more confident in storing. Big thumbs up.

This wine cooler is certainly not top-of-the-line, but it is perfect for the average wine drinker (like myself). It is nice looking, and holds a consistent temperature. One small drawback is that it does not have a temperature gauge built in-- I had to buy one.

Definitely would purchase this again... the wine does taste better!

Functions as advertised. Instructions were complete. Could be upgraded by having Sanyo install a thermometer.

The unit visually is the equal of other hardware in the kitchen annex where it sits on a counter.

I am going to install some exterior side wall insulation blocks covered with thin veneer hardwood to reduce cold loss. To the hand, the box insulation must not be quite thick enough to retain more cold.

Bottom line: I would do it again.

This little box has changed my life...honestly makes the wine taste better as crazy as it sounds. Very efficient for storing wine at a constant temp (very important for wine-heads like myself) I only wish they'd make more so everyone in the world could enjoy it. Excellent performace for the price! And very attractive when filled with your fav wines. A must have for "entertaining". Whatta spectacular concept! Kudos Sanyo! Kudos! You rule!

The cooler is in a dilemma for its market position. How many wine collectors , wanting a wine cellar, would like this product? I do not know myself. Every time i open it one word comes to mind , cheap. The shelves could be better designed. They are not very secure. Longer neck bottles , of which i am getting more and more, because many sangiovese's are coming in a longer than normal bottle, only fit sideways in the bottom area. However, it cools well and is a good value, so i would recommend it to the Frugal Collector.

My personal expierence with this product has been wonderful. It is always the topic of discussion at any party. You can fit up to 24 long neck bottles of beer or 12 40's, as well as having extra room for wine. This product is a great addition to any persons bar. I hope you will enjoy this product as much as my family has.
