It is true, Saosin did lose something special when Anthony left but that doesent mean that Cove cant kick ass as well....Both singers are amazing and everyone should own this EP!!!!!

saosin is easily the best screamo/emo act of all time if not one of the most excellent bands to come out of "the scene" in the last 5 years. translating the name left me speechless but this ep is awesome too. dont listen to that "no" guy. he's a lame fairweather fan and he sucks. this ep doesn't, so get it NOW.

GET OFF A.GREEN'S ____!,
This review is from: Saosin (Audio CD)
People need to quit worshipping Anthony Green. Yeah, he was awesome, but he left. He made the choice to leave the greatest band of all time. TTN kicked, but the new EP is just as good. Cove's actual voice is better than Green's. It's cleaner and more polished. But, Green did have more range, but it made his voice even higher pitched. Overall, both singers kick ass, and the band will always rock. SAOSIN ROCKS STUPID!!!! BUY THIS NOW!!!!!

I'll admit... I usually dont give out 5s easily. Saosin dazzled the emo/screamo scene with Anthony Green in "Translating The Name". 1 singer later along with Cove, theyre bound to do it again. Ill admit... Coves vocals are a little unsure at times..... but the guitars and drums well make up for it. The people who dont rate this item high still hold a grudge and are just being ignorant because they bow down to Anthony Green. Behind closed doors im willing to bet theyre listening to the Saosin EP. Buy this... give it a chance. Saosin kicks major

First off I love Saosin. They are my favorite band and so obviously this is going to be a good review. I loved their first EP and I love this one. Their two new songs are really good, and Bury your head and Live Symphonies is taken from the first album. I have come to love these five songs as much as and increasingly even more than the songs from the previous Ep for now. The acoustic Bury Your Head is beautiful and cove's voice just haunts me so. Listening to it is just amazing it makes me want to cry. Bottom line is: I love Saosin. If you don't already listen to them then too bad.
And also as a review on amazon's part, I received the CD in new condition and I think, in fair time.

how can you say saosin sounds like linkin park and hoobastank is better than saosin
you have to be retarded hi my name is linkin park and hooba stank and all i do is play power chords on my guitar and act bad, linkin park and hoobastank were literaly shat onto planet earth... they are that horrible also rating the new motion city cd 5 stars? that cd was horrible, its pop punk trash, their first cd was good but their new one is full of palm mutted power chords..... already been done before and calling TREOS bland is rediculous, they are one of the most musically talented bands in the emo scene currently OK back to this album.... Cove is a great vocalist but i really dont think any one can top anthony green, he is amazing... music isnt as intense as first album. drums are pretty good, bury your head acoustic is pretty good and original sounding hopefully they dont ever put bury your head on another album... they have over used that song super duper buy this album unless if you are a hardcore anthony green follower that man really should start a cult for himself... i would consider drinking the punch for him...

well first off to start with the good, i was actually quite impresed by coves cover of anthony greens work on lost symphonies live minus the screaming, he actually made it sound kinda cool in his own way, Although i was a bit disapointed hearing all the double bass taken out considering that was one of my favorite parts of the song.
with that being said, dont get me wrong cove is a great singer and a talented musican, but i really dont care to much for him in this band, with that being said i wasnt even half as impresed by the ep as i could have been if anthony was still in the band. Not only becuase hes not as capable of the voice of anthony green but becuase his writing is deffinatly less tasteless and quite generic when compared to the previous work of saosin. He seems to really rob saosin of their full potential with the boring melodies, generic voice, and generic lyrivs vs when they had anthony they had each song with lyrics and melodies that totaly blew my mind, along with that the guitars didnt sound so blurry and over produced as in the new stuff. In my honest opinion I can actualy see saosin at the point of no return geting huge and making music 14 year old girls will love in the near future, which is probably the bigest let-down in the scene ive ever whitnesed sense i was far more then amazed to see what was next to come from them while anthony was still in the band. For all the previous fans and people who actualy know music, im shure they sadly know what im talking about. . . i gave it 3 stars in respect to their guitar players, this band still has alot of talent, i guess they just really need to find new ways to use it and not sound so generic, otherwise the cd will be very disapointing to me. That pretty much sums up honesty along with my review. last off id like to clear up the rumor of say-ocean? no im not trying to be rude but i really dont belive its pernounced like that bro, would a man right outa china pernounce it like that over sao-sin? i doubt it and yes it is a chinese term for those who didnt know. . .

(my first real music review so please be patient with me :) )
Just got my new copy of the "Saosin EP" in the mail today. I gotta say, it's a good, stand alone EP album by one of my favorite bands. I picked up "Saosin" about 2 years ago (when I just heard about them) so didn't get into the whole "Anthony" vs "Cove" arguments like I see today. But anyway, just gotta say that even this EP would have been enough to get me hooked on Saosin. This being pretty much a demo Cd of the "Saosin" Album you would think it would just be a waste to spend a few bucks more to hear the old versions. don't let that stop you, It's easily one of the Best EP's I have heard in awhile (and it's nice to hear what some of the songs sounded like before making it to the official CD) So I would say, if your a Saosin fan, pick this one up 5/5 Andrew

I was somewhat dissapointed because I thought Anthony Green was the vocalist for the first Saosin demo.
I loved the product but I missed Anthony! Catch him with Circa Survive!

Ehh,
This review is from: Saosin (Audio CD)
This was my last purchase of the Saosin collection. I bought it just so I could say I owned it, I already own the other two. I'll write this as if I had not heard the new album, it would probably be much more enjoyable. Actually, this gets 4 stars just for the fact that the songs they did make on here they improved on [Bury your head I have nothing to say about, honestly I couldn't tell the difference]. But "I want another fast song" and "New Angel" were GREATLY improved. Lost symphonies, I didn't care for. I cringed when Cove tried to be Anthony, it just doesn't work for him. Cove is amazing, as Cove, not Anthony.
