5.0 out of 5 stars Great Reference
This is the best SAP book I've seen. My co-workers and I purchased this book to prepare ourselves so we could break out of the mold management has put us in through our division.

This reference is very clear, concise, and gave us the backroud we needed that no other book was able to provide. It is clear that this is the best SAP reference on the market and we were...

For your money, you get approx. 700 pages of fire-starter material. I mean, you can use this book as a paper weight, paper-airplane material, or some relatively toxic fire-starter. Heck, some people may even find humor in the tome somewhere. Other than that, your time and money is better spent elsewhere. Anybuddy with a klew will easily recognize that all the 5-star...

Anybuddy with a klew will easily recognize that all the 5-star reviews written above and below are [sham]efully (fake?) friends of the author and/or publisher.

I've read the book. I have SAP Basis certification. I have take the SAP certification courses. Don't buy the book: unless you are looking for a general 15-page introduction to each area of SAP. The sample questions presented inside contain very few, if any, similarities to the real tests.

People who buy this book are likely the ones who fall easily to such advertising by Pepsi, think Winblows 98 is a real operating system, and believe everything shown on CNN is purely without favor or flavor. I wouldn't want to hire such consultants.

1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of money, April 11, 2000

I fail to understand how anyone can pass a SAP certification exam of any kind using this book as their resource. The questions are not even phrased or organised in the same way. The certification exam is mutiple choice, for a start! Like a lot of people I wasted my money on this. It doesn't even make a good paper weight. Spend your money wisely and use SAP's own material.

1.0 out of 5 stars Give up this book for SAP certification, March 21, 2004

Perhaps I paid too much expectation on this book. I thought it will give you a lot of simulated questions to simulate SAP certificate exam, but it turns out only to give you a brief explaination about SAP NOT for CERTIFICATION. I am very disappointed for this book. Besides, the answer for each question is far from the reality. That is to say, in the SAP certificate exam, NO ONE IS GOING TO WRITE 3 OR 4 LINES OF ENGLISH SENTENCES TO ANSWER EVEN A SIMPLE QUESTION. FOR WHAT? As most of people who are interested in SAP certificate exam know that SAP certificate exam have most questions in multiple choices. The SAP certificate exam is to test people's professional knowledge NOT to test the level of English writting.

1.0 out of 5 stars Mis-Named, April 1, 2000

This review is from: Sap R/3 Certification Exam Guide (All in One Certification) (Paperback)
For MM consultants: This book should be titled "A general overview of SAP and what to do if you want to register for the certification exam". If this was the title, I would consider it value for money.

However, the title implies that it will help you to get certified. It has very little useful detailed information and will not actually HELP you pass the MM certification exam. For MM Partner Academy, a course I conduct at SAP, it is particularly useless and I feel so sorry for people who spend the money on this book hoping it will help them pass the exam. The questions listed are not at the right level at all and the answers are often not only completely off the point, but in some cases completely wrong. This made the entire book's credibility questionable. You will notice if you read the above reviews that the most criticism comes from experienced SAP consultants who know enough to judge the content.

There is NO coverage of the level of detail actually required to pass the MM certification. In summary - if you want to pass the exam, it would be better if you read all the configuration and other modular help topics as well as completed either the partner academy training or did some real implementations.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Waste Your Money, July 17, 2002
This review is from: Sap R/3 Certification Exam Guide (All in One Certification) (Paperback)
This book claims to have certification tips and questions.Truth is it does not. I donated the book to a guy in a training session as he was planning to buy one. I am glad i got rid of the book. The guy to whom i donated passed the donation to another prospective buyer. The best source for certification questions would be sites like sapfans where you can get much more help for certification and FREE!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't ever think on buying this book, March 25, 2002

This review is from: Sap R/3 Certification Exam Guide (All in One Certification) (Paperback)
The cover of the book says: "Comprehensive test preparation for FI...etc." The FI module is covered in the book in only 10 pages while SAP needs 4 huge binders for that. Is absolutely impossible to replace the binders in 10 bad written pages. The questions are totally different those there are in the exam. The author doesn't know anything about SAP. Do not waste your money. Is a totally lousy book.

This review is from: Sap R/3 Certification Exam Guide (All in One Certification) (Paperback)
I guess someone could give this book a five-star review if they were the author of the book, or clueless. I suggest you save your money. Having just completed three certifications, I can assure you that the best path to certification is the SAP Academy. This book, contrary to it's claims, isn't any help with the academy courses. If you can't afford the academy, order SAP's online help CD, and study based on the SAP Application Consultant Certification Program white paper. There isn't any super easy way to study for any of these tests, so don't waste this much money on this superficial book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Certainly NOT for SAP Certification, March 21, 2004
By
This review is from: Sap R/3 Certification Exam Guide (All in One Certification) (Paperback)
I am very disappointed about this book's presentation. The book is about SAP Certification, but nothing for the real SAP certification. All the questions have long-wasted english sentances. If this is the sample of SAP certification, then we need 1 week to complete the exam. It is USELESS MATERIAL.

1.0 out of 5 stars Simply stated, this book is a fraud!, November 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Sap R/3 Certification Exam Guide (All in One Certification) (Paperback)
I bought this book when it first came out and was I was excited when I bought this book because I believed it would help me towards Basis certification. Well, there is nothing in here for Basis Admins. In addition, he tries to present information for every function module in 700+ pages. Each function module by itself would take 700+ pages for certification preparation. Extremely superficial treatment of SAP function modules.

If I was to give a 4 or 5 star review for this book I would not blame you for thinking I was either the author's friend or else an extreme beginner (naive) in SAP. This book is superficial at best.
