This is by far the most awesomest graphics card I have ever purchased!

My 5770 lasted me a good 3 years, hopefully I can get that amount of time at least out of this card.

Runs very quiet when idle and under loads (manual fan control settings at 48%).

PROS:
- Sapphire and it's dual-extractor cooling technology with multiple heat pipes
- Double fans for better airflow
- 28nm architecture
- Runs very cool under loads (between 45-48 degrees c)
- Smooth gameplay and blu-ray viewing

CONS:
- Drivers, but they will of course get better in time
- Tad on the spendy side, but worth it

OTHER THOUGHTS:
Thus far I am very happy with the new 7950. Runs very quiet when idle and under loads (manual fan control settings at 48%). Even with AMD's RC11 drivers, the card has never crashed for me shown any artifacts with any games I have tested (Crysis 2, BF3, RE5 just to name some). I would also game for extensive periods of time and card still stays cool and is stable. I run my card in a Cooler Master HAF932 full tower. I use ArcSoft TMT5 for blu-ray viewing and it's smooth with great quality (tested James Bond opening credits scenes, Star Wars, & Avatar just to name a few). I would very much recommend this card to somebody.

First off, as anyone purchasing this card would expect at this price range, this card's performance was excellent. Unlike a lot of other reviewers, I had no driver issues, and all the games I tried except for one, performed at the highest setting available. The games I personally tried and ran on max, including any of these that have hi-res packs available are:
Batman: Arkham City
BF3
MW3
Unreal Tournament 3
SWTOR
Skyrim
WoW
Rift
City of Heroes
The Darkness 2

The only game I tried that did not work or had issues was Syndicate, and I don't know if I can totally blame the card, or the game itself. The game being brand new and playing it on the day it came out, it could have been either.

The reason for the 3 star rating: After 2 weeks of daily use, the card died and would not function at all. I had to send it back to Amazon for a refund.

My system and exactly what happened:
Core i7 2600k running @ 4.0Ghz
Asus Maximus IV Extreme Z Mobo
16gb of Corsair RAM @ 1600
Corsair H80 Liquid Cooling
Crucial 64gb SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1TB HD
OCZ Fatal1ty 750 Watt PSU
LG Blu-Ray disc drive
CM Stormtrooper case
Insignia 32" 1080p 120hz refresh rate LED TV
LG 23" 3D Monitor

Woke up, turned the computer, and everything seemed ok. Upon opening Skyrim a couple of minutes later, both monitors turned black, the 32inch flashed blue, and both shut off. Rebooted, started BF3, 2 minutes, same thing. Checked the Mobo (It has indicator LED's on the board which light up during boot, if something fails, the light color changes from green to red to let you know what failed) and the VGA led turned red. Swapped out my card with my GF's Radeon HD 6750, and that worked fine.

This card is simply amazing. Its a tad bit big so if you don't have a decent sized mid-tower it might not fit, but other than that it is a great card. Its not as loud as my old card, XFX 6950, and makes it look like a little kid in comparison. The temps aren't fantastically low but then again they aren't through the roof either. All in all if you are looking for a great graphics card update will last a long time before you need a new card go with this card....Unless you want to spend $100+ more for the 7970.

I bought this card reading the reviews posted here. I'd have to admit, I'm glad I did. This is an awesome graphics card. After 3 months, it kicks. Seamless in all the sense, words escape me. A year ago, I purchased a Radeon HD7850 2gb and I really thought it was a fast and powerful graphics card. But this card is noticeably faster. The Sapphire HD7950 is some serious eye candy. If you have an i7 and enjoy gaming with heavy, detailed graphics (like BF3 or Crysis3), this is the card I would consider.

This was an easy install and I haven't had a minutes trouble out of it. It plays all of the latest games well and all of my older games as well. One of my old games is the original Far Cry, and it renders it perfectly where my NVIDIA card would not. I am pleased with its performance on all the newest games too, the call of duty series , Left for Dead, FarCry 3 are some that I have that it works great on.

very easy to physically install, very difficult to get drivers installed. once it was running it is unbelievably powerful, smooth and fast. not very expensive for what you get.

i am very satisfied with it.

This is an amazing card, and Sapphire did a great job with the custom cooler, the fans run whisper quiet at 100% load at stock clock (no point in OCing it further atm), and the card stays at a cool 40-50C while I play skyrim on 8X AA maxed out graphics.

The card benchmarks just below the 7970 on almost every benchmark avialable, and is behind by only 1-2fps on most games, since that it runs far quieter than the 7970, is cooler, and $50-100 cheaper, I would recommend this card over all the other GPUs currently out-there if you're looking for a single card solution for some amazing gaming/blu-ray viewing/video manipulation experience.

The only problem I had with this card is some mild stability issues from a cold-boot. But that isn't this card's fault, but rather my power supplies. although I have a 850W, the corsair TX850 takes a bit of time to warm up and my computer will reboot 1-3 times starting from a cold boot. This issue was completely resolved after I changed to a 1050W 80+ gold PSU. so just throwing that out-there as a fyi for anyone having some weird re-boots at start up after switching to this card.
