This card is considered a mid-range card in AMD/ATI's new Radeon HD 6xxx series but I have to say, with the price point at $240, it is the best deal you can get. This card will outperform a HD 5850 and a GTX 460, and is closely tied with a GTX 470. I can run all my games on the highest possible detail including anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.

Some games that have ran on my computer on maximum details and is rendered very smoothly are:
Alien v. Predator (DX11)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (DX11)
Company of Heroes (DX10)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (DX9)
Team Fortress (DX9)

This card is approximately 10" long starting from the body of the card to the end of the heat-sink. Best of all this card has an exhaust system that exhausts hot air through the back of the card and not back into the case! This card particularly runs cool and quiet and is almost silent when idling though the fan does spin up if you stress it out during heavy gaming which is to be expected anyways. This Sapphire card comes with an HDMI cable as a bonus in addition to the other accessories that every other video card usually comes with.

If you want a video card that can actually play games how it's supposed to be played without spending an arm and a leg, then this is your card. It has the best price/performance ratio out there on the market right now.

I've been using this card for the past month and it's been incredible. I'm running Crysis at 1080p all Maxed Out (Enthusiast Settings) and the performance is just incredible (~45 FPS average). I've ran DIRT 2, Batman AA, Starcraft 2, Just Cause 2, Dead Space, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 2, Bionic Commando, Left 4 Dead 2, Tomb Raider Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, FIFA 2011, and several others with no major hickups at all (everyone maxed out with 4xMSAA Minimum!).

And another cool fact it's that the power comsuption levels are very low (compared to my old HD3870) and the fan noise it's almost non exsitent.

Another cool thing is that this are the new video card series which support Morphological Anti-Aliasing (God of War 3 uses it) which is a post-processing effect that applies to most DX9>DX10>DX11 type of apps. That means that even in games as GTA4 and even the newly Darksiders (this are games that do not support AA), you can apply AA without any major hickups in performace (~2 FPS variance). And even in apps as the Windows Live Messenger and others, you can apply this MAA too.

Now, about the vendor, Sapphire has a great offer with this card as it includes an HDMI cable, a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable, the Crossfire connector, and a DVI-VGA converter. This are not included in almost all of the other vendor's offers and it makes this one stand out. And IMO and experience, Sapphire cards are quality built and are made to last.

Great card!!

I got this card after researching all of my options, I have preferred ATI over NVIDIA for awhile now and this card did not disappoint, every game I throw at it comes out beautiful and smoothly. So far Starcraft 2, Unreal 3, Crysis, Just Cause 2, NFS: Hot Pursuit. Just wonderful, the multi screens are nice and with everything included in box, awesome deal. Installation was fast and generally painless, get ready to move cords and hard drives in a mid-size case, this card is huge and I have a 750 watt power supply, and it works flawlessly with this card. All in all, it is a bit pricier than its main relative the 5770, but with 2x the terraflops a second, this card is well worth it. 5*'s

Very good card ...

There is more than a HD 5870 but works fine

with my Viewsonic 22 inch monitor works very well and the HD movies look great Blu ray

Many say that the HDMI looks bad, is you have to download the latest drivers and manually configure.

On temperature, it works fine

excuse my English is not very good but we tried ....

Recently purchased this as the main graphics card for a new setup.

Overall, expandable and pretty awesome performance for the cost.
Set most games on Steam on max settings (ie: Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2 etc) and worked flawlessly.

Haven't had issues yet.

Amazing is one way to describe this card. Quiet even while playing a really demanding game like Empire or Civilization. Very easy install and has the capabilities to be over clocked. I would definitely recommend this card to a friend.

The Sapphire HD 6870 has so far worked flawlessly. I haven't had any issues in any of the games I've played since installing it and frame rates have been rock solid. Thumbs up so far!
