Can max out everything I play. It runs fairly cool, and the fan noise hasn't really been a problem. Also, I can't help but love the visual design of the cooler. The light looks really cool through the window on my case. Overall, a very solid card, with the only drawback being the price.

I bought this because I couldn't find the gigabyte R9280X anywhere and this one looked like it was a good substitute, I should have just gotten this in the first place.
I needed a better video card for battlefield 4 because playing on low quality sucked so i bought one of these, it is pretty big for a video card but it really gets the job done, now I can play with everything on ultra and I still get at least 30FPS (and that is in really intense areas)
the only thing that would be a downside is the fact that it has orange leds on it and my case is lit with blue leds, but I will get over that for performance.

Amazing card. It's huge so if you have a mid size tower it may fit with some adjustments but to be safe it's best to have a full tower. I had to move both my hard drives and do some creative wiring to fit it. I was also able to run it on a 750w psu but if you plan on getting a 2nd card its better to have a little more power. And for the miners I was able to get 740 kH right out of the box with no tinkering. The card seems to be way over priced at over $500 right now but when it drops back closer to $400 it's well worth buying.

I picked this up one November 1st for $360 So I got it really early before the price rise. I dont do any mining, I just game. This card is very solid and looks awesome.

Pros : Looks amazing, Has a Backplate, Doesnt lean over, Nice LED, Goes from 40-52 when I game while fans are on 20% auto. Quite when I game But then there is a catch.....

Cons: I am getting a some coilwhine. Not so loud, But its high pitched which bothers me cause I Have an AIR 540 case and there are many places for the noise to leek...thats the only con. This only comes when I game for a while and It doesnt last that long but still.

I ordered this card and had to have the first card replaced. It seems some of these cards have heat and fan issues. The first card I got was a bit loud and I thought that was normal. But one of the fans was off centered which really would bug the hell out of me so I contacted Amazon and had a replacement sent out. The Replacement card not only does it not make a scraping sound but the replacement card is way cooler and quieter! So it seems like a batch of these cards is messed up. Games I play are BF4, FFXIV, Thief, Tomb Raider on a 22inch monitor 1920x1080p. And it runs fine at max graphics. So this is a perfect investment! For the cost of a Xbox one or Ps4 I got this card and a new PSU. Also this card needs a minimum of a 750watt PSU so watch out for that!

Cliff Notes:
~ Comes with a AMD Gold Voucher for 3x free games, Link: http://www.amd4u.com/

~1st R9 Toxic card: Loud, got really hot and one fans was slightly scrapping.

~2nd R9 Toxic: Way more quiet then first, super cool and fan was not scraping.

~Requires a 750W+ Power Supply! I used EVGA Link to it on Amazon Using tiny Url for smaller link size: http://tinyurl.com/Evga750w

~Plays, Thief, BF4, Tomb Raider, FFXIV on max settings fine.

I bet that 50% of everyone reading this review is wondering how well this card is at mining Scrypt coins. Well, I'm doing that just now, and I'm getting a good 710 kH/s mining LTC with this configuration.

I was a bit hesitant before I decided and take the plunge with the card. I have switched between AMD and GeForce over the years for purely gaming purposes. I do not mine. Most of the reviews you read here and pretty much on point. This card has been able to run all of the contemporary games I have thrown at it at the highest settings. I have tested the card on Furmark and a bunch of other benchmarking programs. Without getting into the numbers crunch and min-max debacle, the Toxic has been consistent and reliable.

Like it was mentioned in a previous review, there is a slight coil whine at a certain temperature. For me, I notice it between 41 and 45 degrees Celsius. It is momentary and I have gotten use to it. As a matter of fact, it is so insignificant I look at it as my benchmark when my card gets to a certain point in temperature. Aesthetically speaking, the card looks great and the stock fans with heatsink do the job just fine. If you are hesitant of shelling out the money, you will not regret it. Unless of course, you get a defective card. And also, make sure you have the space for this bad-boy, it has some length to it.
