Make sure to have proper cooling!
Jacob Glickman
For those interested in the cooler: The stock cooler on this is very nice, and does a much better job than any previous 79xx series card.

This card is very solid and looks awesome.

Can max out everything I play. It runs fairly cool, and the fan noise hasn't really been a problem. Also, I can't help but love the visual design of the cooler. The light looks really cool through the window on my case. Overall, a very solid card, with the only drawback being the price.

I bet that 50% of everyone reading this review is wondering how well this card is at mining Scrypt coins. Well, I'm doing that just now, and I'm getting a good 710 kH/s mining LTC with this configuration.

I bought this because I couldn't find the gigabyte R9280X anywhere and this one looked like it was a good substitute, I should have just gotten this in the first place.
I needed a better video card for battlefield 4 because playing on low quality sucked so i bought one of these, it is pretty big for a video card but it really gets the job done, now I can play with everything on ultra and I still get at least 30FPS (and that is in really intense areas)
the only thing that would be a downside is the fact that it has orange leds on it and my case is lit with blue leds, but I will get over that for performance.

For those interested in the cooler: The stock cooler on this is very nice, and does a much better job than any previous 79xx series card. At 100% it doesn't get as noisy as they used to, but it's still noisy. The MSI R9 280X has a nearly silent cooler which does a slightly better job at cooling. For both, I use an aftermarket cooler anyhow: Prolimatech MK 26, which is completely silent and cools better than stock.

For those using it for mining:

This is the most stable of the various brands of R9 280X series I've tried. It's also providing the most output. I get a stable 800kh+. I've tested it in cgminer 3.4.x and 3.7.x, runs flawlessly.

800kh+ Settings:
TC: 24000
Engine: 1160
Memory: 1800
Intensity/Powertune: 20

750+:
TC: 24000
Engine: 1050 or 1080 (some cards vary)
Memory: 1500
Intensity/Powertune: 20

There is a tweaked cgminer scrypt kernel for the Tahiti chips out there which will net you 15-30kh more than usual in some cases, and I use this to help achieve extra speeds. Can't post the link, but if you're on bitcointalk talk to a guy named vesperwillow, he can link you.

I've had two radeon cards before this one in fact one was the same sapphire maker. This card looked great but within a month started having artifacts in game and even during normal web browsing. I sent it back and received full refund. I am happy with the resolution but not with the product, and I'm very disappointed in Sapphire
