i must say this is a great card for this price i got it because it was the cheapest hd 5830 at the time. i am very pleased with it so far it runs very quietly and its performance is very good for the price. Ive had it for 4 months now without a single problem from this thing. if you're looking for a great card for around 200 bucks this is the card for you!

I bought this for dedicated Bitcoin mining. It's been reliable, stable and overclocked for three continuous months. I can't say anything about it's gaming ability, but it's hash-rate for me hovers around 300MH's/s.

I bought StarCraft II but needed a better graphics card to be able to crank up the settings in the game to get the detail that I wanted. I was very pleased with the results. I cranked everything up to Ultra in the game and it still runs very smoothly, even during epic battles with lots of units moving around. My desktop is right now hooked up via HDMI to my 5.1 surround home theater system with 47" LCD TV. The resolution is set at 1920 x 1080, and again it stills runs very smoothly.

The video card has two power connections that are required from your internal power supply (2 molex adapters included), so make sure you have a power supply with a total output of at least 450 or 500 Watts (depending on your other internal components, of course.) Also, it takes up a lot of space in your tower; I had to rearrange some things to make room for it. As long as this is not an issue for you, you will be very pleased. You should not have any problems playing most, if not all, of the popular new video games available today.

I wonder about the low review that the other person gave here due to the card not working at all. There are a lot of reasons why it might not have worked, including not enough power or the power connections being forgotten when installing the card, so I would pay no heed to the bad review listed here without more information regarding exactly why it wasn't working for him or at least the person's credentials when it comes to building/upgrading computers. He may have just been inexperienced; who knows? That's not the video card's fault if that's the case, right? It could have easily been user error. (Of course, it is still possible that it was indeed a bad card, but I doubt it.) I am a computer technician, and I know how easy it can be to overlook something obvious when installing new hardware.

IMHO,the 5830 is the best card for the price. Good frame rates at decent resolutions. Fairly quiet and overclockable.

Worked fine then fan failed after just 5 months. Manufacturer won't respond to requests for warranty support through their site. I heard that Sapphire had terrible warranty support, but I wish I listened before I bought this card, now I'm out the cash...

I got this in the mail, it was well packed and everything seemed fine, however it had no video at all. The system still knew there was something there as it booted all the way into the OS, however it was never recognized and no display ever occurred.

Their tech support is well horrible.

They have no phone contacts, no live chat, nothing but a forum, which tells you to send and email to an address that is in a message further down the list.

Sent the message but never got a response.

I am a tech type person and deal with this for a living, however I had a friend come over to check a few things like correct voltage, amps, etc. (in case it was maybe not enough power or something else.

The 2 power sources did have the correct voltage and amps.

I put the original card back in and all worked fine.

It was not that it was DOA that was the problem, it was the total lack of tech support that they offer.

I am used to EVGA where you have an issue during the first 30 days with their product, they have some people to contact, as well as a full tech support section.

I returned this and went with an EVGA Geforce gtx460 (they don't make radeon) which works great.
