Purchased this to replace an HD5770 I had purchased less than a year before. I began my search due to getting a newer and much larger monitor. The specs on it weighed against the $139 price tag was just to good to pass up. It is about 2" shorter than the reference card and the new cooler keeps the temps low. It has the ability to out perform the HD68xx cards and at a far lower price tag. It will take up two expansion slots (it is designed to) and it takes two pci-e power connections. It runs every game I play (L4D, L4D2, WOW, Rift, minecraft, portal 2) and do photo correction with Gnome perfectly on my 24" monitor at its native resolution of 1900x1200. I have not attempted any OC'ing as my PSU is 350W which is just enough to run it stock.

This thing replaced my SLI 9800 GTX+ X2 setup and kicked the pants off it. You will not find a better price/performance card out there.

This review may be irrelevant given that it's not sold anymore and there, but the one reason I purchased this card in the first place was its dimensions. I own a dell studio xps 435mt. The case is much smaller and so I could only fit a card so long. This card, at 11.5" was the longest I could go. I see that there is now a sapphire 6850, which adds a few features, but is actually slightly slower, especially if overclocked.

If anything, I hope this review is helpful in reminding you to take a look at the dimensions of your case and the maximum length of a card your case can accomodate.

Also don't forget to research what type of power supply you need, and purchase a little more in case you end up upgrading to an even more power hungry graphics card down the road. I purchased a 500W power supply to replace my 330watt.

I purchased this card for my upgraded i7-2600K system. Windows 7 recognized and automatically installed its driver and it scores 7.7 on Windows Experience Index. I use this PC mainly for audio ripping and Photoshop and there is a significant performance increase vs. my old graphics card.

Great card. Be aware that if your going to crossfire these that they will work with other HD 5850 chipsets. BUT I'd highly recommend getting the same series (dont mishmash the brands, get the same ones). I had an issue I could not pin down when running this with a reference 5850. I was getting stuttering and pauses in game (BF3). I had spent a lot of time and money trying to figure out what it was. This card simply does not work well with other brands. By itself its fine and runs great, but be aware of this if your going to crossfire.
