Fantastic choro from one of Brazil's best groups, June 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Saracoteando (Audio CD)
One of the best choro recordings I've heard in a very long time (a style that is innately Braziilan & isn't jazz by a long shot, although improvisation is paramount). Agua de Moringa just won the Premio Sharp (the Brazilian equivalent of the Grammy) for this album (in the best instrumental category -- June '99)-- a definite must-have that will get you dancing in no time -- plus instrumental virtuosity that has true "alma Brasileira" -- a Brazilian soul.

Very hot chorinho, August 12, 2001
This review is from: Saracoteando (Audio CD)
This young group is one of the hottest choro ensembles I have heard - very tight, some great new music as well as a lot of standards, and terrific arrangements - not to mention spectacular technique.
Well worth buying.
