5.0 out of 5 stars When Sarah plays live, she's at her best
This 1994 concert video of Sarah McLachlan is beyond words. Sarah and her band confidently perform to a sold-out crowd in Montreal where Sarah is highly respected. Besides the amazing concert, this is an interview with Sarah and her long-time friend and producer Pierre Marchand, along with in-studio sessions as well. Yes, I like this video
Fumbling Toward Ecstasy, but that studio talk is too much every time I expected to here a song there she was talking in the studio with other. When I want to listen to video with music that all it should be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Damn Good!, June 13, 1999

I really liked this video, although the sound could have been better. I absolutely loved the versions of "Home", "Wait", "Ice", and "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy". It was also a really nice 'touch' to have this filmed in Montreal. Even with its flaws, FTE, Live is an experience you'll never forget.

Having seen Sarah Mclachlan in concert at Lilith Fair and watched the Mirrorball video, it's interesting to see an earlier performance. She looks like a different person; minimal makeup, long curly hair, dowdy clothes, a chubby figure. But her voice is just the same, and it's great to hear different live versions of her better songs, as well as to see the live studio and interview segments of this video.

I didn't really know who Sarah Mclachlan was, then I saw this video! No one can sing a sad song like Sarah can-not even Elton John. From Sarah's gorgeous voice to the beautiful acoustic guitar, this tape will leave you wanting more! Especially worthwhile are "Ben's Song" and "Ice" my favorite moment though is "Out of the Shadows" turning into "I Will not Forget You" truly magical.

FTE is my favorite Sarah album & I bought this concert in the hopes that the energy & feeling of the album would transform nicely into a concert. I was right.

FTE Live is better than Afterglow Live but not as good as Mirrorball. It's still a great addition & an essential item for any Sarah fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sarah McLachlan Is a woman With Awesome musical talent!, June 23, 1999
This review is from: Sarah McLachlan - Fumbling Towards Ecstasy Live [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Sarah McLachlan is so talented. This video made chills run up my spine. As a lover of Sarah's music I bought this video. I was so pleased with the content. There are awesome live performances from the "fumbling towards ecstacy" album. There are also an interview with Sarah between each song. This video is so great! The song lyrics reach down into me so deeply that it makes it that much more thrilling to watch them sung live.

This is the best "concert" I've ever attended. It is incredible musically, (of course), vocally, (of course), and creates the most perfect mood for the true Sarah McLachlan fan. Anyone obsessed should buy this video, and ayone not obsessed will be after seeing it. Sarah is incredible. There is no other word to describe it. END

Didn't think this was a great concert? Got a pulse? It's the mark of a truly talented performer to take studio work that is already original and honest, and make a live performance of the material something even more interesting.
