This review is from: Sarah, Plain and Tall: Novel-Ties Study Guides (Novel-Ties Series) (Paperback)
Dear Friend:
I'm writing you this letter because I read a book this past week, and i want yo uto read it. The book's name is Sarah Plain And Tall By Patricia MacLachlan. This book is about a young girl who lives on a farm with her father and brother. The girls mom died when her brother was born. The Father wrote an ad in the paper asking for a wife. Sarah replied to the ad. She exchanged letters to everyone in the family. After a while, she said she would be coming by train and she would be wearing a yellow bonnet. She said she would stay for a month to see if she liked it there. She had a lot of fun that month, but she missed the sea in Maine. She brought her sea shells and her cat named seal. I'm not going to tell you anything else, you'll have to find out for yourself if Sarah stays, and the trails they overcome in the month. Sarah grows to love the children and Jacob. Even though she doesn't express the love she has for all of them, she would like to stay because she loves them a lot. She knows that if she leaves, she will miss the children and Jacob much more. You can learn a lot of things frpm this book. I hope you read it.
