Childhood Memories,
By Haylee (CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sarah's Unicorn (Library Binding)
"Sarah's Unicorn" was my very first book I ever learned to read and as a little girl I loved it so much I had it memorized. I came on here in hope of finding my beloved story and I am incredibly sadened to find it is no longer sold. It's a shame such a great children's story is no longer available to everyone. I only hope children my age never forget the exsistence of unicorns like they have many other myths!

Sarah's Unicorn,

I remember this book so well. I waited for it after Foolish Giant came out. Then I was able to hear the story of A Monsters Ring before it was published. If you think Coville is a great author for children you should. Being a school teacher helped.Sarah's Unicorn was one of the first books I was ever able to read on my own.

The First book I finished,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sarah's Unicorn (Paperback)
When I was a little girl in my grade school library, I came across this book. I had never finished a book all the way through until then. I checked it out every year more than once, and read it time and time again. It is a great story, and I hope my daughter loves it as much as I do.

I will miss this book...,

It's a pity that it isn't on the market anymore. I don't even remember how young I was when I first read this magical book--I have loved it ever since, and, since losing it, have always looked for a store where it is still being sold. It's a wonderful little story with lovely illustrations, perfect for any beginning readers and unicorn lovers of all ages.

Great book for early readers!!!,
By Pampooh (Orange County, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sarah's Unicorn (Turtleback)
This is my favorite book to recommend to early readers. It has magic, an evil witch, a good little girl, and a unicorn. It also has a morale--people are basically good, so don't give up on them. The words in this book are easy to read for a 1st or 2nd grade student. As an elementary school librarian, I am proud to recommend it to teachers and students.

A True classic,

This review is from: Sarah's Unicorn (Paperback)
I bought this book to replace one that my wife had that was destroyed by our curious 2 year old son. It was in excellent condition and was everything she remembered it to be.

I want a unicorn!,
By
This review is from: Sarah's Unicorn (Paperback)
This is utterly a girl book in so many ways that it amazes me Bruce Coville managed to write it. But that's all right. As long as it's cute, has a great plot, and please little girls. Here are all the elements of a classic unicorn story: evil witch, beautiful girl, and, of course, the unicorn. It's almost too cute, but the young ladies six and under would be squealing for it. And it has a good moral, as we watch Sarah grow into a brave young thing.

You can believe.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sarah's Unicorn (Turtleback)
I first read this book when I was eight years old. Children have the power to accept that anything is possible since they have not yet been turned toward the perils of reality. This book lets a child believe that magic can exist, even when you've lost hope. As an artist I must say that the illustrations are impressive and help bring the reader into the story. I am married now and expecting my first child, yet every now and then I catch myself gazing out the window at night in hopes I would see that magical beast appear

can you fix her?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sarah's Unicorn (Paperback)
"Can you fix her?" is what Sarah says to the unicorn. Sarah wants Mag to be made nicer. I like Sarah's Unicorn becaue it teaches little kids not to be bossy.
