I was looking for information specifically about Sanibel and Captiva... there is nothing in this book that I haven't already learned from the internet. The coverage here is entirely skimpy. Quite possibly, this is because there's not much to report on in Sanibel, though there are certainly plenty more places to stay and more places to eat.

I bought this book to prepare for a trip to Sarasota, Fort Myers, Naples, and the western portion of the Everglades. It turned out to be perfect for my needs--excellent descriptions of places and attractions, organized both by category (e.g. culture, wildlife, boating)and by location.

I bought this book for my husband's birthday but have just skimmed through it myself. My husband, grandson and I are going to Sanibel Island over Spring break and I plan on taking this book with us. I have been going there for almost 45 years but was looking for ideas for day trips and some ideas for things to do with my grandson. I was familiar with many of the places but it was good to read what others thought were highlights of things to do and see in the area. I will also use it as a guide to area restaurants. I found the book to be well organized with a good variety of interesting places to visit. Shipping and service were excellent too.
