The overall quality of these pencils isn't bad. They sharpen well, and the color lays down well. But the colors shown on the outside of the pencil do not match the actual color that lays down. The Red Orange is the exact same as Red. The lavender actually comes out baby pink, and the Dark Green actually comes out more of a dark teal kind of color. These are rather hard colored pencils, so if you are looking for softer pencils, spend more money and get prismacolors. The colors offered in this pack leave something to be desired.

We gave these to our daughters for Christmas to use with the Dover coloring books. Great combination and the girls have been happily coloring for days now. Better quality than Crayola, not as good as the super-duper art pencils. Definitely good enough for us!
