4.0 out of 5 stars Strictly for those who enjoy happy euro-dance music...
The main difference between the Sarina Paris album and last year's 'Who Needs Guitars Anyway?' by Alice Deejay is that 'Who Needs Guitars...' actually had a lot more variety; but I'm not completely counting out Sarina Paris yet - and you shouldn't either.

"Baby Look At Us" is a wonderful song, and so is the rest of this album; please believe me when I say that...

3.0 out of 5 stars A Catchy Album, Fades Quickly.
I remember loving the songs "Just About Enough" and "Look At Us" when I was younger. I'd completely forgotten about this music until I stumbled across it playing DDR. The songs have a way of grinding themselves into your head. They are infectious in a way, but after I'd put the album through a few times I was getting bored.

The first song "Look at us" really...

The main difference between the Sarina Paris album and last year's 'Who Needs Guitars Anyway?' by Alice Deejay is that 'Who Needs Guitars...' actually had a lot more variety; but I'm not completely counting out Sarina Paris yet - and you shouldn't either.

"Baby Look At Us" is a wonderful song, and so is the rest of this album; please believe me when I say that every track on here could be a radio hit on it's own - I really mean that. The only problem is that after about the first five tracks, you may start to feel the same way you might feel after eating way too many sugary sweets (trust me). Therefore, I strongly suggest that you listen to Sarina Paris only in small doses. However, I do think the Sarina Paris album would provide excellent background music on a summer road trip to Vegas or something.

Standout tracks include a dance remake of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" and track #3, "So I Wait". Gotta love that voice...

Thanks for reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Look at HER now..., May 24, 2001

Since "Look at us" first started playing on national radio stations last summer, I was instantly hooked on Sarina Paris and her music. Now, almost a year later, after waiting soooo long the album has FINALLY come onto the shelf of my local music store(s).

Make no mistake, if you liked "Look at us" and "Just about enough" you WILL enjoy and want to move to the other tracks on the album.

Really more POP than DANCE or TECHNO, Sarina will entrance you with her hypnotic and beautiful (if a bit high on some tracks =) voice, crystal clear (read: understandable) vocals, and a constant steady beat. To be honest, Sarina herself makes the CD...

All in all, and amazing bubbly (but a good kinda bubbly =) hypnotic and engulfing CD that should keep you listening the whole way through, all day long =) GO GET IT NOW!...

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop, "Look At Us", and Listen!!!, June 2, 2001
This review is from: Sarina Paris (Audio CD)
Like most of you, I first was amazed with Sarina Paris's first single "Look At Us". It wasn't until her second single "Just About Enough" that I relized how talented she was and how great and catchy her songs are. Don't be bitter about all her songs having that robotic transformation of her vocals, because I know she had to be smiling when she recorded every song because when I listen to her songs it makes me feel warm inside. All of her songs are dance friendly yet have great pop lyrics to them.

1.) Look At Us (3:29) = This is her very first hit and I'm sure there will be more to come because every track on this album are ten times stronger and better than this track. Don't get be wrong because I have a passion for this song too, but "look at us" is not nearly as good as most of the other songs on here.

2.) You (3:56) = This is another very catchy song and I love the way her voice sounds so fast and blends in with the beat. This song has great and catchy lyrics.

3.) So I Wait (3:01) = I really like this song because it actually has a bit of Sarina's real voice as she sing "My Momma used to tell me that patients is a virtue".

4.) Just About Enough (3:45) = This is Sarina's second single and is just as hot a "Look At Us". I think this song is a bit stronger than "Look At Us" and has an even better dance beat.

5.) Love In Return (3:10) = Another great song with catchy lyrics. This song has a great summer feel to it and is very sweet.

6.) True Colors (3:50) = This is the only ballad on the album and is probably one of the weekest tracks because you can totally tell that Sarina's voice is all computerized. Its a pretty good ballad but its not one of the strongest songs on this album.

7.) Angel (3:25) = This is by far my favorite track on this album it has everything from A to Z. It has a great beat, catchy lyrics, its sweet, and makes another great summer song.

8.) Dreamin' Of You (3:18) = This song sound like a lulliby and has a great beat. This is also a great dance song like most of the other songs on this album.

9.) The Single Life (3:36) = This song reminds me of a serious club song and chillin with friends just knowing the your single and free.

10.) True Love (3:18) = This song has a fierce beat and great lyrics. This song is just a cheerful song that you want to dance to.

11.) Romeo's Dead (3:16) = This song has a great beat but I think the lyrics are a bit on the weak side, but its a great song, maybe not of single quality but this is still a good song.

12.) All In The Way (3:50) = This is a great ending track with a funky beat. This song is very inspirational and modivating, it helps you get through the day.

13.) I Love You (Bonus Track)(6:20) = This is by far the longest track on the album and has a dark feel to it and Sarina's repeats "I Love You" in a breathy voice.

This CD is so great I probably have listened to it over 100 dozen times and another 100 dozen times is sure to come right around the corner. I love this CD so much that I can't wait for future follow-ups but until then I will be feelin' this album. Take my word for it you will love this CD long time so I suggest you check it out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Be Happy when listening., February 29, 2004
By
Eemaan Jalili "compwiz199" (Newport Beach, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sarina Paris (Audio CD)
The CD is an overall good. I really liked the variety, dispite what others said about the music. I originally got hooked on the song "Just about enough" because it was totally a good dance song, so then I listened to some of her other songs. I loved Baby look at us, although it was not as good as Just about enough (for me) I still liked it so I bought the CD. IT WAS HARD TO FIND SO IF YOU CAN GET IT HERE, GO FOR IT. A breakdown of the Cd....
1. Look at Us
This was a good song that they played on the radio. "Look at us baby, look at us now..." This song is kind of downtempo and really is good if you listen to the lyrics. Its kind of a move up to the beat, rhythm so dont give up after listening to the first 30 seconds. On the other hand, dont listen to it too much or guarantee you will have it stuck in your head.
2. You
This song was actually a little depressing for me when i first heard it. Its also got kind of a lead up to it beat, so again dont judge it by the first 30 seconds. Although when it does start, with like the rhythm, its like quick that continues.
"You, every dream I deem now every second every moment you."
3. So I Wait
I personally loved this song too. I loved the way that its starts out a little rough, Dont be discouraged by the sound of it at the beginning. the song gets good because of the combo of sounds that Sarina uses in the Song.
"and so I wait for tonight, cause tomorrow you might find that you will need me again for some tender love and care, so I wait hoping you will discover your in love that you need me as much as I need you."
4. Just About Enough
Awesome dance song. I have used this for good dancing parties a couple of times, and everyone wants to know which song. Definately a crowd favorite, so listen to this one if you want incentive to buy the CD.
"Just about enough, cant take any more of you, just about enough, got me over the edge."
5. Love in Return
This song was just okay, for me i didnt really listen to it too much just cause i loved the fast songs on this CD.
6. True Colors
This one is also slow, I thought this one was okay, but its good for teh emotional times.
7. Angel
I am sorry Sarina, didnt like this song.
8. Dreamin' of You
This one is the most sugarrrrry one of all of the songs. This one makes you happy its like a shot of happy pills or something. Its another dance song, not as good as so i wait or just about enough.
"7 in the morning in the middle of dreaming of you, get up get up a new day is calling me, 7:35 and your body's still next to mine, dont stop dont stop stay with me forever..."
9. Single Life
This singles life is definately for me. I like the way she uses different sounds again to make this song sound, guuuuud....
"Freedom all around dancing as we paint the town, friends stay all around, we are single ya.. (hope i got that right)"
10. True Love
Another song i didnt like. It was a little downer for me, but i am nuts. I just wrote a review with song lyrics in it :-P
11. Romeo's Dead
I did like this song, because i thought it was just so funny. I thought that this song definately was interesting for the rest of the CD, and was a good finisher. I really liked the way that she is like "Romeo's dead, he wasnt thinking ahead,..." I like the sounds again used in the song.
12. All in the Way
I really liked this song too. If you liked So i wait, and dreamin of you, than you will definately like this song. I personally thought this is another song that is meant to cheer up that upset nancy, (wait is that right?)
"When you smile you run where theres somewhere to numb the pain, its all in the way you smile, all in the way you dare, all in the way you search for the sun in you day..."
13. I Love You
I have never heard this song. I dont know why it wasnt on my CD. I was so upset, i thought it might be a dance song. Someone tell me what you think.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Catchy Album, Fades Quickly., January 1, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sarina Paris (Audio CD)
I remember loving the songs "Just About Enough" and "Look At Us" when I was younger. I'd completely forgotten about this music until I stumbled across it playing DDR. The songs have a way of grinding themselves into your head. They are infectious in a way, but after I'd put the album through a few times I was getting bored.

The first song "Look at us" really stands out. It's a good song. Very repetitive and simplistic. I think it would be more enjoyable if Sarina's voice was more natural and less clouded over with digital enhancements.

"You" is very enhanced and overworked in the studio when it would be nicer just on its own. I also quickly noticed that it was very similar to "Look at Us" ...
"So I Wait" was the next song on the album, and so I waited for it to end.

When it finally did the set pattern was clear. Catchy hooks and beats with minimal vocals and lyrical thought. So my overall verdict would be that this is a fun album. Good to listen to in the car or on the bus. Its light and carefree though it drones on towards the end. With the highlights being "Look at Us", "Just about enough" and "Dreamin' of You".

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweetest Dance Hits Ever!, July 8, 2001
By
This review is from: Sarina Paris (Audio CD)
This new release is one of my favorite CDs, I can never stop playing her songs!

"Just About Enough" & "Look At Us Now" were her debut singles, and they made a big hit with the internet world as her songs were downloaded immensely. Though she may not be Christina Aguilera or Britney Spears, her gentle and soft voice can win hearts of many people. When you listen to the tracks "All in the Way", "Angel", "Dreamin of You", "Love in Return", "Romeo's Dead", "So I Wait", "True Love", "You", you'll feel like getting up and moving your feet, or even singing to IT!! They are so POP-ish, and girly, that everyone will love her dancebeat!

But one song will make an impact on you big time, "True Colors" Because this is the only slow track on the album, and as you play it, you might want to grab that certain sweetie and have have a little slow dance! In the end of the album, "I Love You" is like a trance-like song, that only has the 3 words "I-LOVE-YOU", that lasts for about 6 minutes. Which may impress you from her other sweet tunes! All in all, this CD is absolutely AWESOME, and is highly recommended that you pick this up! 'Cause you'll never take this out of your cd player!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sarina Paris, August 31, 2005
This review is from: Sarina Paris (Audio CD)
This CD is good, but not great. The songs are all upbeat and make good music for a party, but they have a tendency to all sound the same. "Look at Us" and "Just about enough" are the two best songs from the album.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Bit dissapointed, June 16, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Sarina Paris (Audio CD)
When I bought this CD, I was expecting every song to have something in common. When I put it in the cd player, I listened to each song and I was just a bit dissapointed to hear that every song not only sounded alike, but every song on the cd sounded exactly like "Look at US." I am not saying that "Look at US" isn't a good song, I just felt there should have been a bit more variety on the album. But if you are into Eiffel 65, Alice Deejay, or ATC, you will most likely Love Sarina Paris. She has amazing vocal talent, and I am just hoping she follows this album up with something much more amazing and breath-taking.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST!!!, September 25, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sarina Paris (Audio CD)
Sarina is the best pop-dance music out there. Every song could be a hit. *Trust me* I really mean it! The song called Dreaming of You is definitely my favorite also not to mention "You" is a good song too.

I recommend anyone who loves pop dance music, should get this. Sadly, this is the only album Sarina has made. I wished she could continue making music like this. It totally can inspire your hearts everyday and make you feel good.
