5.0 out of 5 stars Addictively funkaholic
Great, refreshing and original funky metal. The basslines are incredibly groovy and the hole sound is tight. Special emphasis to the the coverversion of Led Zepplin's 'Immigrant song'. Never heard such a witty interpretation.

3.0 out of 5 stars must have for the IG fan
While not as good an overall offering as some of their other efforts, this CD has some funky jams on it and lots of the humor from the first release.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first one but...., August 29, 2000

This little collection has a few real gems on it, however, there's also quite a bit of stuff that could have been left off. There is some demo material and some live tracks that lack luster, although they do provide a little insight into the band and give a slight glimpse of their live sound. There are a few tracks which really stand out well - it validates the purchase of the CD - especially if you're already a fan of I.G. or S.T. If this is your first experience with I.G., I would strongly recommend their first "The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move" CD - this will have a greater impact than this CD or the one that followed this one. Sarsippius III returns to narrate this CD, instead of simply annoying security in their first release. This band rocks - the guitarist is phenomenal - bass is unbelievable - drummer is very enthusiastic. Awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funk Metal to the Immigrant Song..., June 9, 2009

This album is simply awasome! Drums, Guitars ... not to mention the FUNKY BASS. YEaa...

I love the Immigrant Song. I can't belove how much they changed it but it still sounds as the cover.

Don't Stop Sphread The Jam ... listen to the bass line on 0:25
Three Headed Mind Pollution ... is a nice fast tempo song

Actually, just listen to all the songs, they are awasome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funk it up!, October 9, 2008

This review is from: Sarsippius Ark (Audio CD)
An amazing blend of metal and funk, but without that late 80s vibe their first album had. While "The Plague that Makes your Booty Move" was an amazing album, the 80s synth elements diluted it a touch. This album fixes this issue.

The slap bass is a masterpiece as usual thanks to Mr. Trujillo. The guitar is not unlike the face paced precise style of Suicidal Tendencies with funky highlights.Cyco Mike drops some fresh lyrics too, never taking himself too seriously.

The album hits hard but is not as heavy as "Groove Family Cyco", it's probably the most balanced album the grooves released. If you're a fan of any type of creative, non-bland metal, this is a great album to check out.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move, September 20, 2007
This review is from: Sarsippius Ark (Audio CD)
This is an album that I have to break out from time to time just to get my fix. An absolutely overlooked gem. It's Mike Muir and Robert Trujillo from Suicidal Tendencies taking it to a maxed out funk level. Think Red Hot Chili Peppers on steroids (heavier, not funkier). This album is worth having just for the cover of "Immigrant Song" alone.

Sometimes really heavy, always super funky, this is a great party album. You can't feel bad while listening to this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stompin' Thrash Funk at it's musical best, homez!, March 31, 2004

I played this at least once a day for about a year! As a fan of SxTx and I.G. this to me was great. A great mix of heavy rhythms teeming with tha fonk and obscure but clever and fun lyrics. Very musical but very hard/smooth.
I also recommend Groove Family Cyco which is the best sounding album they did. Violent and Funky has to be an absolute classic.
Hardcore - and then they swich it to the smooth, it's the Infectious Grooves. PEACE X

5.0 out of 5 stars A kickin mix of suicidal tendancies and old school funk., June 3, 1999

This cd rocks. One minute it your shaking your booty to 70's style funk and the next you are lacing up your boots and trying to start a pit in the living room. I also love the extra heavy cover of the David Bowie classic Fame. Anyone who is a fan of Suicidal Tendencies should check this disk out
