I bought this set before my son was born and couldn't wait to show him all of the bright, colorful toys. When he was a few weeks old, we held the rattles in front of him, and he stared at them in amazement. Eventually he learned to hold and shake them on his own, and then he discovered the other toys. He fell in love with the yellow and purple jingle ball, and he would have lots of fun shaking it and rolling it across the floor. The teethers are nicely textured, and the linking letters are fun to dangle from an activity gym. Also, my son loves the little yellow rubber ducky and the purple octopus. I squirt him with them during bath time, and he laughs and squeals. Of all the toys we now own, many of his favorites are from the original Sassy set. This toy set has been wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to other parents. Not only are the toys designed with bright, high-contrast patterns to please young infants, but also they are varied and durable enough to please older babies. This truly is a great assortment of baby toys.

Looking at baby toys is so overwhelming. This set has all you need (of course you'll end up buying more toys, but really this is all you need!). The toys are high-quality, colorful, and they encourage exploration in play. I highly recommend this set.

My son is 6 months old now and really enjoys playing with Sassy's Baby First Toys. I was really happy with all of the toys until one day when I was giving him a bath. I noticed that he had something yellow on his mouth. The octopus has these yellow circular designs on it. It says bath toy right on the tag but when it gets wet the yellow comes right off being a choking hazard to the child. I took it away immediately and threw it out. My son is in the teething stage and puts everything in his mouth. If your child is the same way....I would definitely keep this toy away!!!!

the toys are cute and great for the baby to play with. the only drawback are the colorful teether toys. when the baby gets few teeth and bites the teether toys, the paint comes off!!!!!!!!!!!! unfortunately, all the teether toys had to be thrown away. babie's safety is more important!!!!

I would call this box of toys mediocre here's the good and the bad.

Good:
1. My son's favorite toys came from this box. Even now at 7 months, he loves the teething bird, the rattle and the pig that came instead of the ducky.
2. Thank goodness for the letters! Not only were they fun-textured, but we used them to hang the toys on his play gym lower.
3. Several of the toys have been pretty well abused and show no signs of wear.
4.It's a nice variety of easy-to-throw-in-the-diaper-bag toys - small enough he can carry them with him into the carseat.

Bad:
1. Definitely did not get all the toys in the picture, no ducks, no octopus, and didn't get the thing in the picture with what looks like 3 stuffed cubes. We did get a stuffed pig on wheels that is not in the picture, and one rattle instead of one of the ones in the picture, but it's definitely less overall.
2. The letters came in handy, but really aren't fun toys.

It's probably not worth $39.99 - I got it as a gift and would say it's worth $19.99 - so maybe pick it up if you can find in on sale.

We bought this set for our then 1 month old son for Christmas. Now that he's almost 7 months old, he plays EXCLUSIVELY with these toys. They are adorable, fun, easy to grasp( the only exception are the theething toys, that are a little bit heavy with the water inside). I have to say though: the toys we got are a little different from the ones I see in the picture here, but I bet these are great too - Sassy makes great baby toys. For the price you pay there are so many of them, that I've decided to give them to my baby one at a time, according to his age. Some of them are still in the box. We use the links to attach toys to his stroller or crib. The set makes a great gift too, especially for multiple babies. I gave it to my cousin's twins: they can share and there's plenty for both of them. All around a good product, highly recommended.

When my niece was born, my sister bought a lot of Sassy toys.
My niece absolutely loved them! Now that I'm expecting, I went out and registered for this set for my shower. I didn't receive the set, but I did receive a lot of Sassy toys separately. Trust me, if someone you know registers for this gift set, don't hesitate to buy it. The set is worth every penny - babies love these toys and they're very well made.

I received this box of toys as a shower gift for my twins. They are now 7 months old and continue to play with these toys. They both continue to go back to this set, more so then any other toys they have. I will always buy this as a baby gift from now on.

i bought this for my daughter before she was born, and now that she is 9 months she still loves the toys, she loves her rubber duckies and the octopus for bath time (she sticks the heads of the ducks in her mouth and then looks up at me it is soooo cute!!!) anyway she also likes the little chicks in the cage and the cookie jar ( both which are not shown) especially the squeekie ones, i will squeek them and she will just smile and giggle. anyways highly recomended

My baby was chewing on the buttferfly teether and it cut her gums. She bled and cried for hrs. It was very traumatic for her and I. Also, I noticed the paint easily comes off. I am going to use wash clothes and soft gel teethers only.
