Had to let these sit open for about a week before giving them. When you open the package you get a "HEAVY" vinyl smell. Cleaning them does not help. After a week smelled normal. Our son loves them

These books are terrific. I got them when my son was born. When he was very little, he liked to chew on them for teething. They are his favorite books now at 13 months- especially the one that you can put 4 x 6 pictures in. The hello bee one is also a source of constant amazement for him.

They have held together great while traveling and are easy to clean. As other people said, they definitely smell of vinyl when they first arrive but after a good airing and washing, they're fine. I highly recommend them!

Our baby has lots of books and we make many available to her in her crib to read when she wakes up in the morning or after her nap. However, out of all of the books, these are the ones that she reads (and likes getting read to her) again and again. We only gave them to her after the plastic smell wore off after about a week.

This set is nice because the books cover a few developmental levels - at first, when she was 3-4 months old, she only responded to the repetitive words and rhythm in "Hello Bee, Hello Me" and has gradually starting liking the other books. Now, at 12 months, she loves to leaf through the photo album (at least after I got around to getting some photos to put into it) and lift the flaps on the Peek-A-Boo Book. I was unsure how to read that one to her early on but finally decided to use it like a game ("What's hiding on that branch?" "Peek-a-boo" lift flap "It's a bird!"). That keeps her attention and makes her giggle. She still has yet to understand what to do with the senses book but I am sure that will come with time.

My daughter loves these books, all of them! i didn't expect such a good quality, plus they are perfect to entertain in the car or places that i need her to be quiet. The design, materials and colors are perfect and easy to clean, i've had them for over 6 months now and i couldn't be happier with this purchase. Highly recomended as educational gift!

Perfect first book collection. My son is 21 months old now and still loves 'Hello Bee, Hello Me'. Highly recommend.

Bought these for my 8 month old grandson who loved them all (except for the photo album). Simple messages, bright colors and washable pages add up to a nice collection at a reasonable price. He especially loved the book with lift-up flaps and a mirror at the end. The one with the teether is cute, too.

So I don't think that a plastic baby book that is expected to be put in the mouth should have a horrible chemical plastic smell. This just doesn't seem right to me. The smell still hasn't gone away & we don't let my son put them in his mouth, so overall not a good buy.

1.5 yr old daughter has LOVED these since she was small infant. plastic ones are great for mealtime and bath and really come in handy. she loves flipping through her picture album in her crib. one of the books has a great teething toy.

My son is now 4 months old, we've had these books for about a month now. He really loves the "Hello Bee, Hello Me" book and he also enjoys the "Peek-A-Boo" book very much. We haven't had the chance to put any pictures in the "Who loves baby?" book which is basically just a small photo album. I'm not really a fan of the "Baby's Sense-ations Book" though, I think it smells weird.

I would recommend this product. Great price too!

These books are so colorful,thats what you need for the newborn, since they love colors. We read them to our daughter all the time, and she seems to enjoy it.
