A well-made rattle is a baby's best friend: grip it, shake it, chew it, stare at it for minutes on end--it never ceases to amuse. This rattle, 4 inches in diameter and easy to grip, and made of sturdy plastic, features three soft, colorful, teethable surfaces: a red-and-white polka dot ball, a black-and-white striped rim section, and a green rim section with purple stripes. Completing the circle is a clear plastic section filled with tracking balls. Five smaller circles loop around the big circle, giving the whole thing the appearance of a huge key chain (without the keys). It rattles quite satisfyingly when you shake it. Play Tips

Place baby’s hand on the ring to grasp the rattle
Move the rattle slowly up and down and side-to-side.  This allows baby to follow first with his eyes, then later with his whole head.
Talk to baby as you play, as this help baby begin to understand words, a first step in learning to talk.

Like a comfortable old pair of shoes, this is the toy that my husband and I keep reaching for over and over again. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the other Sassy toys, it does provide good solid fun at a very reasonable price. Our baby likes to tug at all the different-textured rings and watch the little balls roll back and forth. Most of all, he likes to stick the big red ball in his mouth and make "squishy-squishy" sounds (I can always tell when he's playing with this toy, even from afar!). This toy may not look as exciting as some of his others, but it's the one that we always can count on to keep him quiet at a restaurant, in the car, at the grocery store, etc.

I have three children 1.5, 2.5, 5.5 years old but when they were first born, even before they where able to hold it for themselves, this was a favorite. It would entertain them much longer than any other toys. I really like the SASSY toy collection but by far this was my favorite in the collection! It is a great baby shower gift. I recommend it highly!!!!!

Our baby got this at three months and we showed it to him daily. He loved the colors and noise. Soon he was holding it and at four months, he loves it. The different shapes and touch stimulates interest and he plays with it for a long time. Your baby will enjoy this well-made and inexpensive rattle more than others.
