Like a comfortable old pair of shoes, this is the toy that my husband and I keep reaching for over and over again. While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the other Sassy toys, it does provide good solid fun at a very reasonable price. Our baby likes to tug at all the different-textured rings and watch the little balls roll back and forth. Most of all, he likes to stick the big red ball in his mouth and make "squishy-squishy" sounds (I can always tell when he's playing with this toy, even from afar!). This toy may not look as exciting as some of his others, but it's the one that we always can count on to keep him quiet at a restaurant, in the car, at the grocery store, etc.

I have three children 1.5, 2.5, 5.5 years old but when they were first born, even before they where able to hold it for themselves, this was a favorite. It would entertain them much longer than any other toys. I really like the SASSY toy collection but by far this was my favorite in the collection! It is a great baby shower gift. I recommend it highly!!!!!

Our baby got this at three months and we showed it to him daily. He loved the colors and noise. Soon he was holding it and at four months, he loves it. The different shapes and touch stimulates interest and he plays with it for a long time. Your baby will enjoy this well-made and inexpensive rattle more than others.

This is my 5 month old son's favorite teething toy. All the colorful beads and rings seem to appeal to him because this is the first toy he picks up when I put him in his exersaucer. He'll chew and shake this toy for the longest time before turning to something else. I Highly recommended it.

This is my daughter's and her cousin's favorite toy. All the Sassy toys have been really loved and played with. She doesn't get tired of it. I would buy this for baby gifts.

Even though my 3 month old daughter was large (95th percentile) with big hands, we had trouble finding toys she would grip and hold on to. This toy is one of her favorites. She can grab it, either by the large outer ring or by hooking her fingers in one of the smaller rings, and it has many interesting textures for her to chew on. She enjoys chewing on the soft rubbery areas as well as the bigger red ball.

The ring shape is also useful for her at this stage. She's just figuring out the hand-to-mouth coordination, and with straight toys she sometimes pokes herself in the face with the toy when she's trying to get a part of it in her mouth. With the shape of this toy, she is always successful at getting some part of it into her mouth.

This is the best rattle we have. Our baby loves it and grabs for it whenever she catches sight of it. It's a great teether too, because the plastic has a bit of 'give' to it. The colors are typically eye-catching for Sassy toys, and the added beads in the clear part of the ring keep baby entertained, too. It makes a good racket, but won't hurt if baby bangs her head with it. All in all, a great toy!

My baby is about 7 months. He had the rattle for over a month now. Everytime he plays with it, he would get very happy initially (he tries to put it in his mouth), but then after a while, he would start crying. It seems he's frustrated. Maybe he couldn't get any piece of it in his mouth (since all the pieces are circular ? ). Sometimes it becomes a bracelet and he couldn't find it and so starts to cry. Anyway, I think it is a very well made toy and very colorful. But probably just not for my baby.

This rattle is great for your little one. At two months I gave this to my son and he grasped on right away and brought the ball to his mouth to chew. He loves it! The rattle is thin enough for him to grasp and he likes looking at the colors. I highly recommend this as a first rattle.

My 5 month old girl loves this rattle. Shake it in front of her and she stares at it, and immediately reaches for it. Sometimes she shakes it, sometimes it goes straight into her mouth (she's beginning to teethe). Either way, it's clear she enjoys it and it catches her interest. My only complaint is that it is a bit hard, and she bangs herself in the head with it, but not hard enough to hurt her. This is a great rattle.
