We tried Avent, Platex and Dr. Browns. These are the best bottles by far!

PROs:
* The nipples are the only kind my daughter would use. We bought all of the nipples we could find once I was starting to wean off of nursing and she wouldn't take any of them until we found these. They are more pliable and have a flat shape. Perfect.
* They are super easy to clean because they come apart entirely.
* They reduce the amount of air your child gets in her tummy because she doesn't have to unlatch during feeding at all.

CONs:
* The lids are a little hard to get off if you hands are wet.
* Make sure you screw the bottom on tight or it can leak (we have only had this problem one time - once you realize what you have done wrong, you won't do it again)
* They are a little bottom heavy. It took a while for my daughter to learn how to hold the bottle by herself because the bottoms are heavier than other bottles.

I have used these bottles for all three of my kids and I have not had to replace one part. I would not use another bottle, ever.

These bottles are absolutely the best. I breastfeed and pump so that my husband can feed occasionally. What a difference between these and the bottles that come with my pump. My baby has to work, just like at the breast, to get the milk (whole jaw is moving as opposed to gulping down the milk). The only problem is the lids are a little difficult to get off.

We ordered these as they are listed among the BPA free bottles for newborns. We hoped that these plastic bottles would be a nice beginning and transitional bottle for supplemental feedings (we nursed for the first few months) as they are small and hold up to 5oz.

Here are the problems....the bottles are set up to be easy to clean...bottom screws off. Yes (as other reviews noted)they do leak if the bottom isnt screwed on right...but that is easy enough to remedy and get used to.

Our biggest problem is that the nipples are NOT SLOW FLOW. They really are too fast for a nursing baby who is used to working for their milk. Slow flow nipples are supposed to drip a drop every second or two....these drip way too quickly and our baby could not keep up. The milk was wasted flowing out of his mouth (not what you want as a nursing mom who pumps breastmilk to feed when out and about....that stuff is like gold and you don't want to waste a drop)...or he ended up gagging from the flow.

ALSO...Since these bottles are not universal size you cannot use them and switch out another nipple brand if they are too fast for you or your baby doesn't like them.

If you are looking for a moderately priced BPA free bottle, I recommend the gerber glass bottle (4oz) that you can try different nipples (we really liked the DrBrown that truly had a slow flow)....also evenflo had a nice plastic BPA free version in the small size. these can both be found on amazon!

My husband and I LOVE these bottles. My son has been using them since he was 1 week old. I have not had any issue with the "gasket" melting in a the dishwasher (I even use our sanitation rinse option). I take them apart, place the gasket and nipple in our dishwasher basket on the top rack and they are ready to go!

I do let all pieces dry thoroughly and carefully place them together. You have to line up the bottle with the bottom part with gasket just right, if not they will leak. Each leak we had was "user error" not a defect of the bottle. I highly recommend these BPA free bottles and will not use another brand!

We love these bottles. They are a little bit of work to put all the pieces together after washing them, but we don't have much trouble with gas and our baby has no trouble alternating between bottle and breast.

I tried several different bottles before trying these. My son gagged on many of the other bottles because the nipples were so long. He has not gagged on these and he is able to "latch" on these bottles almost just like he's nursing. It has made the transition from breast to bottle wonderful. I'm glad I found them and now I feel assured that he will have a comfortable bottle while he's at daycare. The bottles do have a lot of parts to clean, but they are much easier to clean than Dr. Brown's bottles.

My son is breastfed, but we wanted to get him used to bottles so that he could be fed while I was away.

We started him out using the Platex Ventaire bottles. He took to them very quickly, however they contain BPA. Sassy Mam is one of the few wide mouthed bottles that we found that is BPA free. We ordered a package of them to try them out. Our son liked this bottle even more than the Ventaire bottles.

~ He liked the nipple. It has a wider shape than other nipples, more like mother's breast.
~ It has the vent system, however our son gets a little more gas than he did with the Ventaire. That's probably because it's a straight bottle and not bent like the Ventaire. We just have to burp him a little more often.
~ Cleaning is easy, just use soap and water like you would with any other bottle. It does have a few more parts than a regular bottle, however if you are already used to the Ventaire system there is no difference.
~ It's BPA free!!! We really liked this aspect of it.

For us, the positives definately out weighed the negatives. This bottle works great for our family.

These bottles are just horrible, they leak like crazy, you have to be very careful when puttingit together, and as you can imagine is quite difficult with a hungry baby crying for food. I like the nipple, but the bottle is impossible for me to figure it out, 75% of teh time they leak. Waste of money.

These bottles had great reviews when we began looking for BPA free bottles. They are very cute, easy to hold and easy to clean (we were use to all the parts with Dr. Brown bottles).Unfortunately they just weren't right for us. My baby had a hard time with the nipples (it's a very unusual shape)and lost patience before finishing the bottle. I think this bottle is good for breast fed babies, as they have to work to get the milk like with a breast. I really wanted to like these bottles, but ended up switching to Playtex Drop Ins.

I tried all different bottles available in the market but these are the best . First of all that it is BPA free and my son loves it...the nipple is really great . No gas issues either.They are also one of the cheapest BPA free bottles.
