If I could give this -5 stars. We got this toy from our registry. After having it for a couple months, I finally gave it to my 5 month old, as she has started teething. The first day I gave it to her, she kinda tried to chew on the wood- fine. Today when I gave it to her, she was chewing on the tail feathers- NOT FINE! She had it in her mouth for maybe 1-2 minutes, and then I noticed bright red stuff pouring from her mouth. It was so red, I thought it was blood. I panicked, grabbed the toy from her, then wiped off her mouth with her bib. I then realized it was dye from the red fabric on the tail! I tried to wipe her mouth out, but literally for 30+ minutes, she kept drooling red dye- from only 1-2 minutes of chewing on the toy! I called the toy company after I calmed down, and then assured me that it is a non-toxic dye- fine, but I feel like it should not come out of a fabric that a baby will be chewing/sucking on. They are sending me a return envelope so they can do quality control on the dove. I just don't feel like a "natural/environmentally friendly" toy should leak dye. So, I would think twice about buying this item!!!

This was one of my son's very favorite toys when he was first learning to grab and play, around 2 months old. It is extremely easy for babies to hold on to. He loved the crinkly feet, and chewing on the knots on its head. It was very easy to clean by dunking a rag in hot soapy water and soaking/scrubbing the fabric parts, then wiping down the wood and air drying. We had quite a few of the Earth Brights toys but this one was his favorite by far. Now, I buy one as a gift for every friend who is having a baby.

This toy is amazing! My son indicated that he liked it in the store when he was about three months old, so I bought it for him. I was glad I did because it was his favorite toy for months. He played with it almost constantly, and we always took it when we went out. He loved studying the wood and the different textures of the fabrics and chewing on the feet. It was extremely durable, though I am considering getting a new one for my second child because a favorite toy, no matter how well made, will get worn.
